Tourism has become one of the world’s major economic sectors. It is an economic pillar of many countries and an important factor in sustainable development. Following the oil crisis, countries are oriented towards economic diversification and non-hydrocarbon exploitation such as: the exploitation of natural resources and the need to preserve them.Algeria has a great wealth of natural heritage (landscapes, forests, Sahara, hot springs, etc.).It has more than 200 thermal springs, a natural potential that can contribute to the strengthening of medical tourism. We are currently witnessing a total abandonment of this type of tourism because of the marginalization of those responsible for this sector, which has caused damage to the exploitation of these thermal resources. Our goal is to take advantage of the presence of these thermal resources and highlight their importance in the field of medical tourism, ensuring the well-being of the human body and mind to satisfy society. For this, our intervention focuses on the revival of the culture of thermalism in the wilaya of Naama, more precisely in «Ain Ouarka», where there is an abandoned thermal spring, one of the most important sources in Algeria that can still be considered an authentic site. The aim of this operation is to highlight this thermal spring, given its curative values on human health, by creating a new opportunity in the region: a thermal therapeutic complex that encompasses the different functions of well-being.be, therapy, fitness and recreation. Everything is preserved nature and ensuring the sustainability of this source through good exploitation and economic management.
