The Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) components can contribute to a company’s success and market returns. Each of these three pillars has multiple dimensions. We examine the impact of female leadership, which falls under the social pillar, on ESG workplace controversies in a sample of S&P 500 firms. These firms are then categorized as Shariah or non-Shariah compliant. Both types of firms differ in terms of ESG. The findings suggest that different corporate governance variables can either have a positive, negative, or no impact on controversies. Depending on the type of firm, whether Shariah or non-Shariah compliant, women bring some positive contribution to the workplace, whether that is workforce related or not. The results support the other research studies showing that having women involved in the leadership of a firm brings non-financial and financial benefits, though a few works suggest no difference if there are women or men involved in the firm’s leadership. A brief discussion of COVID-19 is also mentioned in this research, as to how it has changed leadership and the workplace.

This study was carried out in khartoum state during the period from june 2014 to july 2014, to asses multi drug resistant bacteria isolated from stethoscopes. Two hundred swab were collected from Omdourman Hospital, Bahry Hospital, Mialatary Hospital and Ibrahim Malik Hospital.The specimens were collected , cultured and identified by research laboratory. Reientification of the isolate was done by subculture on MaConkey agar, gram stain and biochemical tests.Modified Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method was adopted to determine resistance of bacteria to several drugs, and the results were obtained as follow:Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae are multi drug resistant bacteria, for amoxicillin, tetracyclin, ampicillin and ceftazidime.Proteus spp. are multi drug resistant bacteria for amoxicillin, ampicillin and ceftazidime.Staphylococcus aureus is multi drug resistant bacteria for oxacillin vancomycin, erythromycin and clindamycin.The study conclude that Enterobacteriaceae more resistant to ampicillin, ceftazidim and amoxicillin. Staph spp. more resistant to oxacillin, ceftazidime and clindamycin.

Le but de notre travail c’est la mise en marche du rhéomètre R /S plus de Brookfield disponible dans notre laboratoire.Dans une première partie on s’intéresse à décrire les différents composants du rhéomètre. Les deux éléments essentiels sont : le système de mesure rhéologique (mobile) et la partie optoélectronique (tête du rhéomètre).Le rhéomètre a été utilisé pour faire l’étude rhéologique de plusieurs types de fluides [fluide newtonien (miel), fluides non newtonien (mayonnaise, ketchup et yaourt)]. L’expérimentation est réalisée en utilisant le logiciel (Rhéo 3000) fourni avec l’appareil.

Le but de ce travail est l’étude d’une structure en béton armé,constituée de RDC+5étage+sous-sol .Ce bâtiment se situe à la wilaya de Chlef qui fait partie de la zone de forte sismicité «Zone III». C’est une structure contreventée par des portiques et des voiles, sa conception est faite Conformément aux Règlement Parasismique Algérien (RPA2003) et le codes du béton armé (CBA 93). L’étude dynamique a été réalisée à l’aide du logiciel d’analyse des structures (SAP2000 version 2020). (The goal of this work is the study of a concrete reinforced structure, made up of(Ground dealing + 5 stories+ underground). This building is located at wilaya of Chlef, which belongs to the zone of strong seismicity “zone III”. It is a structure braced by mixed system gantry-sails. The dimensioning and the reinforcement of all the resistance elements were prepared in accordance with regulatory and technical documents (RPA2003, CBA93).The dynamic study was carried out using software (SAP2000 version 20).)

Ce projet de fin d'etude, nous a permis de mettre en pratique toutes nos connaissancesacquises durant notre cycle de formation d'ingenieur, d'approfondir nos connaissances en sebasant sur les documents techniques et reglementaires, de mettre en application les methodesde calcul recentes, et de mettre en evidence les principes de base qui doivent etre prises dansla conception des structures des batiments.Le but recherche est d'avoir un bon comportement de la structure vis-a-vis de seisme etd'assurer la meilleure repartition possible des sollicitations a travers la structure de facon afaire participer tous les elements a l'absorption et a la dissipation de l'energie. Pour cela, lesouvrages doivent de preference avoir, d'une part des formes simples, d'autre part, unedistribution aussi reguliere que possible des masses et des rigidites tant en plan qu'enelevation.La realisation de se travail, nous a conduits a degager un certain nombre de conclusiondont les plus importantes sont:La disposition des voiles joue un role tres important dans le comportement dynamiquedes structures mixtes.La periode de vibration de la structure depend essentiellement de la rigidite deselements qui la constitue en particulier les voiles et les poutres.Les poteaux sont ferrailles avec le minimum du RPA 99, cela est du ausurdimensionnement de leurs sections.La versification de l'effort normal réduit conduit a une augmentation substantielle dessections des poteaux et cette versification ne doit pas être néglige.La stabilité de la structure est assurée avec la versification des déplacements horizontaux entre étage, ainsi que l'effet P- Le choix d 'un bon site joue un rôle très important dans la stabilité de la structure.L' utilisation du logiciel SAP2000 nous a permet de faciliter les calculs, d 'avoir unesimulation proche de la réalité et un gain de temps important dans l' analyse de cettestructure.En fin l'objet principale de l’ingénieur concepteur est de réduire le risque sismique a unniveau minimal et de facilite l’exécution de l'ouvrage en adoptant une conception optimale quisatisfait les exigences architecturale et les exigences sécuritaires.

The aim of this thesis was to study the effect of Portland cement in improving the swelling characteristics of two Sudanese black cotton soils.The findings of the previous researches in the subject of cement stabilization of expansive soils were reviewed.The effect of cement on the index properties of the two soils was studied. It was found that the addition of cement drastically reduced the P.I., free swell and L.S. and increased the S.L.The effect of cement on the swelling pressure and swell percent was studied. It was found that the addition of cement reduced the values of the swell percent and swelling pressure to insignificant levels. It was also found that the addition of cement reduced the influence of the variation of the initial m .c. and soaking time on the resulting swelling pressure and swell percent. The findings of this study were discussed and comments of their practical applications were suggested
