Laboratory work is key to science education, and virtual environments play a vital role in remote learning. This thesis is concerned with the evaluation of virtual laboratories used in educational fields, mainly in STEM courses. This research investigates the basic criteria for evaluating virtual environments used in science education in order to create an evaluation scale. We reviewed the literature to highlight the main guidelines of evaluating virtual laboratories and found that the most common evaluation features for virtual tools are Ease of Use, Usefulness, Motivation, Interface Design, and Realism. Upon generating the assessment scale, we selected two web-based interactive simulations to perform the experiments; 201 students replied to the survey that followed our online practical exercises. We used a set of one-sided t-tests to determine whether survey responses for each variable varied from one another. We then compared the results for two online virtual environments and found that Lab 2 PhET interactive simulations show better results compared to the Microscope Virtual Laboratories in terms of Ease of Use, Motivation, Interactivity, and educational Usefulness. In both labs, Motivation and Realism were rated lower than other aspects. Realism is key for virtual worlds, reducing the gap between remote and actual learning settings. The developed model addresses three general evaluation aspects: usability criteria, learners’ perspectives, and realism. The model provided through this research serves as a guide for evaluating, comparing, and developing virtual labs.

توسع المدن ظاهرة حية، تعايشها معظم دول العالم، و هي نتيجة لتغيرات طرأت على حياة الفرد خاصة، و حياة المجتمع عامة. مدينة سكيكدة، نتيجة التغيرات و التحولات التي طرأت على مجالها، تشهد اليوم ظاهرة التوسع الحضري لمجالها، لكنها تواجه عوائق طبيعية و أخرى اصطناعية، جعلت منها مدينة محدودة المجال، و كونها منطقة ساحلية فرضت على مجالها التوسع النصف الدائري، نظرا للعوائق المالية التي لا تسمح لها من التصدي لهذه العقبات الطبيعية، و عدم توفير حاجتها من التوسع. لكن للمدينة فرص أخرى في التوسع، فليس من الضروري توفر مناطق شاغرة للتوسع، فهناك التوسع العمودي بالرغم من سلبياته، أو إعادة تنظيم المجال، كاستغلال أرضية البيوت القصديرية، و إعادة تنظيم البناءات الفوضوية.

Nowadays, the oral proficiency is considered as the best indicator of language proficiency by most of the learners, employers, and even teachers. The present study aims at investigating the efficiency of using interaction as a technique in the oral class to improve the oral skills of the third year students of English as a Foreign Language at the University Centre of Mila. In order to prove or disapprove this, we have hypothesized that an interaction-based approach to teaching oral English can be implicated despite the present difficulties, that students have positive attitudes and common preferences towards interaction, and that the use of the interaction in the EFL oral class will help learners to enhance their oral performance. To test the validity of these hypotheses, we have conducted a descriptive study based on two research tools. Students had been given questionnaires to be answered and teachers had been interviewed. The questionnaire consists of 17 questions and had been administered to twenty 3rd year LMD students at the English department of the university centre of Mila. The interview consists of 8 questions given to 3 teachers of oral expression. All of them are teaching at the same department during the academic year 2012-2013. The discussion of the results has confirmed the 3 hypotheses; it shows that interaction-based approach to teaching oral expression is applicable, students have positive attitudes and common preferences towards interaction and interaction have positive influence on the student’s oral performance. At the end, we recommend of using this technique in teaching foreign languages side to side to teaching their foreign cultures and literatures in order to reach fluency and oral proficiency.

إن الولد غير شرعي وهو الناتج عن علاقة غير شرعية بين رجل وامرأة, وتتباين التسميات حول الطفل غير الشرعي فإما أن يطلق عليه لقيط, أو مجهول النسب من جهة الأب معلوم الأم حسب الحالة التي وجد عليها وهناك من يطلق عليه يتيم وهذا تجنبا للتسميات السالف ذكرها, وقد حاولت معظم التشريعات العربية ومنها التشريع الجزائري وضع قواعد قانونية متعلقة بهذه الفئة قصد توفير حد أدنى من الرعاية والحماية القانونية في مواجهة المجتمع الذي له نظرة سلبية لهؤلاء الأطفال الغير شرعيين سوء من حيث تسجيلهم في سجلات الحالة المدنية, وكذلك التأكيد على وضعهم في مؤسسات الرعاية الاجتماعية, إلى غاية بلوغهم سن 18 سنة حسب القانون الجزائري على خلاف بعض القوانين العربية, وإما بكفالتهم من إحدى الأسر البديلة, أو ثبوت نسب هؤلاء الأطفال بمعرفة الأم والأب .

Plant diseases cause significant economic losses and pose a threat to sustainable agriculture. Farmers face problems related to crop infections and also during the spraying of pesticides, which can be toxic to them. To address these issues, we have developed an idea called"AGROBOT." The main goal of our idea is to detect the infection rate in plants and provide the appropriate pesticides for the disease. To achieve this, we devised an action plan to scale up our idea by creating a mobile vehicle that can move across a field, identify infected plants, take pictures of them using a camera, and send these images to a control processor (Raspberry Pi 5).The processor analyzes the problem based on the stored data and applies the appropriate pesticides to the farm. (Les maladies des plantes causent des pertes économiques importantes et constituent une menace pour l'agriculture durable. Les agriculteurs sont confrontés à des problèmes liés aux infections des cultures et à l'application de pesticides qui peuvent être toxiques pour eux. Pour résoudre ces problèmes, nous avons conçu une idée appelée "AGROBOT". L'objectif principal de notre projet est de détecter le taux d'infection des plantes et de fournir les pesticides appropriés pour chaque maladie. Pour ce faire, nous avons élaboré un plan d'action visant à développer un véhicule autonome capable de se déplacer dans un champ agricole, de détecter les plantes infectées, de prendre des photos de celles-ci avec une caméra, et d'envoyer ces images à un processeur de contrôle (Raspberry Pi 5). Ce dernier analyse le problème en se basant sur les données stockées, puis applique les pesticides appropriés à la ferme.)
