Land use and land-cover (LULC) changes have profound impacts on hydrological responses, influencing runoff dynamics and flood risks. This study focused on two contrasting watersheds undergoing rapid LULC transformations: the arid Wadi Ham watershed in the UAE and the tropical Imphal watershed in India. The research emphasized the critical role of accurate LULC data for hydrological modeling in climate-sensitive regions, where land-use changes are accelerating. Using high-resolution PlanetScope and Sentinel-2 satellite imagery, LULC maps were developed and classified using Maximum Likelihood (ML) and Random Forest (RF) algorithms. PlanetScope imagery paired with the RF classifier achieved the highest overall accuracy, with Wadi Ham’s LULC maps reaching 97.27% and Imphal’s LULC maps achieving 98.59%. Change detection analysis revealed significant transformations, such as an increase in built-up areas in Wadi Ham from 3.63 km² in 2017 to 6.23 km² in 2022, accompanied by a decrease in vegetation from 3.37 km² to 1.56 km². In the Imphal watershed, wasteland expanded significantly from 3.32 km² to 47.14 km², while agricultural land saw notable increases: Kharif crop areas grew from 22.2 km² to 28 km², and double/triple crop areas expanded from 28.23 km² to 38.90 km². Hydrological modeling using the Gridded Surface Subsurface Hydrological Analysis (GSSHA) model demonstrated the influence of LULC accuracy on runoff simulations. In Wadi Ham, the 2022 simulations, reflecting urbanization, resulted in higher peak discharge (1165.8 CMS at 930 min) compared to 2017 (749.61 CMS at 1037 min). Similarly, in the Imphal watershed, land degradation and agricultural expansion led to increased flood risks, with peak discharge rising from 129.53 CMS in 2017 to 162.33 CMS in 2022. This study highlighted the importance of high-resolution LULC data for reliable hydrological modeling, particularly in data-scarce regions. The findings underscore the need for informed urban planning and flood risk management strategies to mitigate the impacts of rapid land-use changes. By aligning with UAE’s 2030 vision for resilient communities and UN Sustainability Goals 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and 13 (Climate Action), the research contributes to broader global sustainability objectives.

Ce travail présente une évaluation de la qualité de la réalisation des voyelles du FLE par des apprenants algériens kabylophones et arabophones dans une théorie qui permet de penser à la fois aux relations entre phonétique et phonologie et aux relations entre perception et production. Notre objectif est de déterminer s’il ya un lien étroit entre le système phonologique de la langue maternelle de l’apprenant et ses difficultés en perception et en production des sons d’une langue étrangère.Les résultats de notre étude montrent, comme nous en avions fait l’hypothèse, que même les apprenants de niveau avancé éprouvent des difficultés à percevoir et à produire les voyelles du français. La perception et la production des phonèmes non natifs nécessitent la prise en considération de nombreux facteurs comme les différences et les similitudes entre les deux langues, la distribution des allophones et les contraintes phonotactiques. Cela exige un entrainement long et des méthodes différentes de celles utilisées pour produire et percevoir les phonèmes natifs.Cette recherche souhaite contribuer, sur le plan théorique, à l’éclaircissement des processus complexes d’enseignement/apprentissage de la prononciation des langues étrangères en général, et sur le plan pratique, à l’amélioration de l’enseignement/apprentissage de la prononciation du français langue étrangère par les apprenants algériens, kabylophones et/ou arabophones, notamment les cas des phonèmes qui sont similaires ou non sur le plan phonétique et/ou phonémique

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة ما مدى أهمية التحليل الفني في تحديد توقيت البيع والشراء للأسهم وبالتالي اتخاذ القرار المناسب، ولمعرفة ذلك قمنا بإسقاط الدراسة على شركة أرامكو السعودية المدرجة في السوق المالي السعودي خلال الفترة الممتدة ما بين 25 / 10 / 2022 إلى غاية 24 / 01 / 2023 باستخدام أدوات التحليل الفني المتمثلة في الشموع اليابانية ومؤشري القوة النسبية والمتوسطات المتحركة. وخلصت الدراسة إلى ضرورة استخدام أكثر من مؤشر لتأكيد الوقت المناسب للدخول والخروج والبيع والشراء، وقد يكون التحليل الفني مجد في بعض الأحيان ويكون غير كاف لوحده أحياانً أخرى، حيث توصلنا الى انه يستوجب الاعتماد على أكثر من أسلوب في التحليل لإعطاء أفضل نتيجة في تأكيد إشارات البيع والشراء

Ce travail de master consiste à étudier les propriétés structurelles et électriques des couches de dioxyde de vanadium (VO2) dans le cadre de développer une application d'un capteur MEMS telle que les fluxmètres . Les couches minces de VO2 ont été déposées par ablation laser (PLD) sur substrat de silicium. Une caractérisation des dépôts a été faite par des techniques d'analyse structurelle et électrique. Les résultats obtenus après la caractérisation électriques montrent que la caractéristique résistance-température dévoile une ponte transition très importante. Cette propriété offre à ces couches déposées à être de bonne candidates pour les applications d'un fluxmètre. En effet, les expérimentations faites montrent que nous couches déposées pouvent être utilisées dans la réalisation d'un fluxmètre.

English students aim to acquire vocabulary in English for developing language and proficiency as well. This research investigates extensive reading approach in acquiring vocabulary in English language that students try to achieve. The lack of reading in English language impairs the acquisition of vocabulary knowledge. We hypothesize that if students read extensively they will be able to acquire vocabulary. For that reason, the objective of delivering this study is to make an investigation into extensive reading in acquiring foreign language vocabulary. For that, the proper method for the research is the descriptive method through conducting questionnaire as statistical measure of interpreting data. Questionnaire is the tool of this study that will help to elicit students and teachers‟ thoughts about the two main variables extensive reading and vocabulary acquisition. As any, this study has its limitations in conducting this research to interpret data.

لا شك أن للوكالة التجارية أهمية بالغة على الصعيد المحلي والدولي في كافة المجالات، ولذلك سعي المشرع العماني إلى تنظيم أحكامها، فقانون الوكالات التجارية نظم الإطار الإجرائي الوكالات التجارية التي تبرم بين منتج أو مورد أجنبي وبين وكيل محلي داخل السلطنة بهدف بيع أو ترويج أو توزيع السلعة، وتعتبر أحكامه التنظيمية متعلقة بالنظام العام لارتباطها بالمصلحة الوطنية. إن أبرز أنواع الاتفاقيات المبرمة بين المنتجين للسيارات ووكلائهم المحليين في السلطنة هي اتفاقيات التوزيع التجارية، والتي تعد إحدى صور الوكالات التجارية المنصوص عليها في قانون الوكالات التجارية؛ ولذلك تنحصر الدراسة حول هذا النوع من الاتفاقيات.تثير الدراسة جملة من الإشكاليات أهمها معرفة الطبيعة القانونية للوكالة التجارية بين المنتجين للسيارات والموزعين الحصريين لهم في السلطنة، ومدى تأثير ذلك على العلاقة التي تجمع الموزع السيارة مع المشتري، وصولا لتحديد المسئوليتين الجزائية والمدنية نتيجة لاكتشاف الغش في السيارة أو العيب فيها.وبناء على ذلك خلصت الدراسة إلى العديد من النتائج، أبرزها أن وكالة التوزيع تعتبر إحدى صور الوكالات التجارية الواردة في قانون الوكالات التجارية وهي ذو طبيعة خاصة، بموجبها يتولى الموزع شراء السيارات من المنتج لها ثم يعيد بيعها بأسمه ولحسابه الخاص بثمن أعلى، ولذلك فإن العلاقة التي تنشأ بينه وبين المشتري هي عقد بيع ، مستقلة عن علاقته مع المنتج، نتيجة لذلك يتحمل الموزع - بصفته بائعا- المسئوليتين الجزائية والمدنية حال ثبوت حالات الغش الواقعة على السيارة منه أو اكتشاف العيب الموجب للضمان. أما أهم توصيات الرسالة فتتمثل بإعادة النظر في نصوص قانون الوكالات التجارية سيما بشأن العقوبات التي يجب أن تتناسب مع طبيعة نشاط مزاولة المهنة، مع تعديل بعض نصوص قانون حماية المستهلك الجديد وفق المبين تفصيلا في التوصيات.
