Thujone is a natural compound found in plants such as “wormwood” and “sage” and it’s also found in the alcoholic drink “Absinthe”. Thujone has been suggested as a neurotoxic compound and reported to modulate GABAA receptors. In this study, we investigated the pharmacology of Thujone on nicotinic receptors expressed in Xenopus oocytes using the two electrode voltage clamp method. Thujone (100μM) caused an 80% inhibition of Acetylcholine (ACh) induced currents in human α7-nAChRs expressed in frog oocytes while only 30% inhibition currents in α4β2 expressed oocytes and no effect on α3β4, α3β2 and α4β4 nAChRs. The mechanisms of Thujone effect on the α7-nAChR were further investigated and found to be independent of membrane potential and did not compete with ACh. Furthermore, Thujone did not affect the activity of endogenous Ca2+ dependent Cl- channels. In conclusion, Thujone inhibits human nAChRs with different potencies

Les installations électriques utilisant des énergies renouvelables hybrides vontconnaître, à moyen terme un intérêt certain grâce à leur flexibilité vis-à-vis des sourcesd'énergie primaires. L’objectif de ce travail, est l’étude d’un système de productionhybride, qui combine entre deux sources d’énergies renouvelables (éolienne,photovoltaïque) avec stockage et un groupe électrogène de secours. La gestion d’énergiedes différentes sources est assurée par un gestionnaire qui commande l’ouverture et lafermeture des commutateurs, selon les conditions météorologiques (éclairement, vitessedu vent).

In this study we analyze a mathematical model for the HIV and TB co-infection for differenttreatment strategies. We analyze the TB and HIV/AIDS sub-models, we presentedconditions for positivity and boundedness of solution. The HIV-only model is shown tohave asymptotically stable equilibrium and we established conditions of the existence of theendemic equilibrium in terms of the reproduction number associated with the disease-freeequilibrium. The TB-only model shows behavior of backward bifurcation, where the stabledisease-free equilibrium exists with a stable endemic equilibrium when the associated reproductionnumber. We further analyze the full HIV/TB model to incorporate the treatmentto the both diseases. A numerical simulation of the models is performed to investigate theeffect certain parameters on the spread of the diseases.

Nous avons proposé au cours de cette étude un modèle simplifié décrivant l'instabilité aunombre de Reynolds modéré, d'un film mince de deux fluides visqueux newtoniens quis'écoule par gravité à l'intérieur d'un cylindre vertical. Ce modèle, nous permet de décrire loinde seuil des instabilités de grandes langueurs d'ondes sur une interface courbée. Cette approcheanalyse le rôle des nombreux paramètres du problème.

La présente étude a pour objectif de connaitre la répartition arboricole fruitière dansla wilaya de M’sila et les techniques d’amélioration et de préservation employées par lesagriculteurs. Le travail pratique consiste en un inventaire au niveau de six (06) régions, àsvaor, Ain khadra, Hammam delaa, Magra, Khoubana, Ouled Bedera, Maadher(Boussaâda).Les résultats montrent que la culture dominant est l’oléiculture, puis la cultured’abricotier ; en addition d’autres cultures moins existant comme: la culture du pommier,du poirier, du grenadier, du figuier, du prunier, du palmier dattier et la culture d’amandieravec dix (10) arbres seulement à Hammam Delaa
