Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) is the most common form of diabetes; it develops when pancreatic cells produce an excess amount of insulin, resulting in insulin resistance by peripheral cells. T2D is an illness that caused by interaction between genetics and environmental factors. Genetic factors are involved in the development of T2D and several genetic variants increase the risk to have T2D. The single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) rs1801282 in the Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptors gamma) PPARG (gene and rs9939609 in the Fat mass and obesity associated protein (FTO (gene were discovered to be related to raising the risk of T2D in different populations. This research aimed to discover if rs1801282 in the PPARG gene and rs9939609 in the FTO gene are responsible for increasing the risk of T2D in Kurdistan region. In the current study DNA from 200 unrelated individuals (100 T2D, and 100 non-diabetic control) were genotyped using Allele-specific PCR for both SNPs. The accuracy of the PCR methods used were validated by the Sanger sequencing method. The association analysis for the rs1801282 (adjusted by sex, age, and BMI) showed significant differences between the cases and the control groups for rs1801282, individuals with genotypes (GG, and GC) had a higher risk of the disease (p-value = 0.0045, OR = 3.96, 95%CI: 1.31-11.94) than genotype (CC). the contrary, there was no significant differences (p value= 0.39) between the case and control groups for the rs9939609 variant in the FTO gene. The findings in this research suggested that the variant rs1801282 in the PPARG gene was a genetic susceptible SNP in T2D in the Kurdish population, while SNP rs9939609 in the FTO gene was not associated with T2D. Further investigations with larger number samples are required to validate these findings.

This research aims to develop a multi-phase flow model for direct steam generation (DSG) systems. The fluid used in the DSG system is water; required energy is obtained from solar energy. The water inside the absorber passes through different regions due to the phase change process as it goes from liquid phase to gas phase. In between, a two-phase flow region exists. In the two-phase flow region, the flow passes through different flow patterns before reaching the gas phase region, for example (bubble, stratified wavy, slug, annular, and mist flow). Another important aspect of this work is to optimize the influential parameters that maximize the steam generated by carefully considering the multi-phase flow characteristics, which have not been considered entirely in the open literature. This research identifies the most sensitive parameters affecting the generated steam by performing a detailed parametric study. Controlling the two-phase flow regime is achieved by changing the geometric pipe characteristics and flow conditions. We explored the essential parameters such as the mass quality, void fraction, and the two-phase pressure drop along with the absorber. Moreover, an experimental databank for direct steam generation systems from open literature was collected to validate the developed model. A user-friendly work-station is developed using MATLAB interface.Pumping two-phase flow is a challenge that needs more investigation. This research also aims to design, test, and validate an intermediate flow homogenizer stage to enhance the process of pumping two-phase flow if a need for pumping the two-phase flow using a commonly used centrifugal pump. The homogenizer showed that it improves the two-phase flow pumping but could not solve the problem completely. Several suggestions have been made to improve pumping the two-phase flow.

بما أننا نعيش عالم اليوم كثير المتغيرات والمستجدات، فإن السمة المميزة له هو التجديد الدائم في مختلف جوانبه وذلك لأن التغيير يحدث في كل مكان، وأن سرعته في ازدياد وتعقد، وبما أن المؤسسات وحسب نظرية النظم تعتبر نسق مفتوح على البيئة المحيطة فكان لزاما عليها مسايرة التغييرات التي تحدث في عواملها الاقتصادية أو السياسية أو حتى الاجتماعية منها، كما استخلصنا من خلال الدراسة الميدانية والنظرية أن العوامل الخارجية تؤثر على المؤسسة وتفرض عليها التغييرات أكثر من العوامل الداخلية، وذلك من باب مواكبة التطور التكنولوجي والتقني وكذا التوسع العمراني وزيادة الطلب على الكهرباء والغاز الذي فرض على المؤسسة اتخاذ إجراءات كزيادة بعض المصالح والأقسام في الهيكل التنظيمي وذلك لتلبية احتياجات الزبائن وضمان بقاء واستمرارية المؤسسة في ظل الظروف المواتية فهي تتابع التغييرات حتى تتمكن من حل المشكلات التي قد تقع فيها وتعمل على تحسين الأوضاع القائمة إلى الوضع المرغوب فيه، وهذا لاحظناه نظريا وميدانيا أيضا.

L'objectif de ce mémoire de fin d'études est le développement dematériaux polymères, respectueux de l'environnement, répondant aux exigences desindustries. Pour cela, nous nous sommes intéressés à des mélanges depoly(3hydroxybutyrate-co-3hydroxyvalérate) (PHBV) et polyéthylène basse densité(PEBD). Pour l'amélioration des propriétés de ces mélanges, non miscibles, deuxstratégies ont été envisagées: la compatibilisation avec un agent réactif et l'ajout d'unenanocharge. Les mélanges ont été élaborés par voie fondue à l'aide d'une extrudeusebi-vis. L'ensemble des travaux réalisés s'articulent autour de deux parties. Lapremière est une partie théorique. La deuxième est une partie expérimentale, qui apour but d'apporter une contribution à l'étude de l'effet du compatibilisant et lananocharge sur la miscibilité de ces mélanges. Au travers l'analyse spectrale par IRTF,les résultats révèlent la présence des interactions interraciale entre le PHBV et lePEBD en présence de l'agent compatibilisant.

تسعى المؤسسات الاقتصاد إلى مواكبة كل التغيرات التي تحدث على مستوى البيئة المحيطة بها و اجراء تغيرات على السياسات والاستراتيجيات المتبعة لما لها من أهمية لاستمرارية المؤسسة وتطورها، حيث يعتبر الأداء المالي للمؤسسات الاقتصادية من أهم الجوانب التي تسعى المؤسسة إلى متابعته وتطويره بما يخدم أهداف المؤسسة، وذلك من خلال أجاد خطط استراتيجية تساعدها ، حيث يهدف هذا البحث الاجابة على الاشكالية التالية: كيف يمكن تقيم الاداء المالي للمؤسسات الاقتصادية في ظل التوجهات الاستراتيجية؟.- ولقد خلصت هذه الدراسة الا نتيجة اساسية مفادها أنه يجب التنويع في الاعتماد على أدوات تقييم الأداء المالي اي الأدوات التقليدية والحديثة وذلك من أجل تمكينهم من معرفه الوضعية المالية للمؤسسة والاطلاع على مدى فعالية السياسات المالية المتبعة لبناء خطط استراتيجية مثلى تخدم أهداف المؤسسة.
