Nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC) is the most common cancer among head and neck cancers in Algeria. It is multifactorial and is characterized by its very heterogeneous geographical distribution. Its incidence is 3.2 cases per 100,000 estimated by the World Health Organization in 2020.The purpose of our research is to establish a profile of the clinical, epidemiological and genetic characteristics of nasopharyngeal carcinomas at Mostaganem cancer centre (mazagran). The study was based on a sample of 55 cases of cavum cancer identified at the cancer centre from 2019 to 2021.The results obtained with the IBM SPSS20 software show a male dominance with 83.6% men and 16.4% women.The most common histological type is undifferenciated carcinomas of nasophayngeal type (UCNT) with a percentage of 89.9 and a sex ratio of 5.09.The average age of onset of this disease is [40-59] years, with an average age of 53.5±2.0 years.The majority of patients in our study received 87.2% and 61.8% chemo and radiotherapy respectively.Lymphadenopathies are the most common among revealing symptoms (20%).

The twentieth century in the United States of America witnessed the rise of the Civil Rights Movement. The 1960s and 1970s brought the climax of African American demands struggle into papers and screens. The present dissertation explores the role of newspapers and media in 0disseminating the messages of Civil Rights Movement. Through a chronological presentation of the major events happened during the 1960s and 1970s till the decision of the Voting Rights Actin 1965, the research attempts to highlight the forms of news coverage, activists’ opinions and the aftermaths of some turning points in the history of the Movement. The work consists of two chapters. The first chapter provides a historical overview of the African American background in the US from Post-Reconstruction till the 1960s. The second chapter focuses on the events widely covered by newspapers and television during the 1960s and the1970s, and shows the contribution of journalism to spreading the voice of the oppressed community nationally and internationally.

Cette étude a pour objectif le suivi de la dispersion de Goéland leucophée (Larus michahellis) dans le Nord Algérien, et ceci à travers la lecture des bagues des individus qui s’aliment au niveau de la décharge publique d’Azefzef, Skikda durant la période allante de Février jusqu’à la fin d’Avril 2016.Selon la base de données des lectures de bagues précédentes pour l’espèce, nous avons confirmé que la totalité des bagues lus sont des bagues Algériennes et parmi eux, la présence de quatre nouvelles bagues avec six lectures.La domination des individus avec des bagues Algériennes est expliquée d’un coté par la grande fidélité du goéland leucophée à leur site natal, et d’autre coté par l’importance de la décharge d’Azefzef comme site d’alimentation pour l’espèce.

Stroke is the next major cause of death globally.This status and use of care and rehabilitation discharge from the inpatient rehabilitation setting, and to Examine factors affecting using or not using different rehabilitation services after discharge from inpatient rehabilitation setting. Document the status of stroke patients compared to their own functional status at discharge. And to investigate the factors associated with better stroke outcome after discharge from inpatient departments, mainly form Bethlehem Arab society between the period of January –September 2020, Research Method: The researchers adopted cohort study design. 61 participants were recruited. aged45-84 years,43 males, and 18 female patients diagnosed by Stroke,found to be discharged fromBASR,All participants with 3 physical examination tests Rivermead mobility index , Ten meters walking test 10MWT , and 6MWT. :This research confirms that there was a decline in the 3 outcome measures used in this research.Patients did not take any physiotherapy,speech, or occupational therapy, while severity of what ???was the main determinant for the use of Physiotherapy as the only received rehabilitation services (less than 50%) at community level. Factors predicting stroke rehabilitation outcome were mainlyage and sensory neglection . For the 6MWT and the 10 MT, and by the age alone on the MRMI.Conclusion:There is a functional decline of functional status of stroke patients after discharge from the inpatient’s rehabilitation setting, associated with severe shortages of Rehabilitation services received at the community level

Optoelectronic devices are of vital technological importance because of theirapplication in various fields including optical communication, environment monitoring andclean renewable energy sources. Integrated optoelectronic devices provide newopportunities toward dealing with the steady requirement of large bandwidth of nextgenerationoptical interconnections technology. In spite of this tremendous success, thereare many challenges associated with photoreceiver devices such as huge overhead in powerconsumption and relatively low sensitivity.On the other hand, the advanced thin-film photovoltaic based on kesterite technologyhas been enabling great promise in meeting demands of carbon-neutral energy. However,the developed CZTS solar cell structures are still challenging and their efficiency remainsfar from that offered by the Silicon-based technology.The work presented in this dissertation includes the development of new optoelectronicdevices and their applications in advanced optical interconnects and photovoltaic. Thediscrepancy between the advanced nanoelectronic and photonic devices is investigated,with a focus on the photoreceiver that determines the power budget of optical interconnects.The goal of this thesis is also to explore the possibility to overcome the most criticalproblems of the CZTS solar cell with the aim of achieving superior conversion efficiencies.Based upon these topics, the thesis is divided into the following partsFirst, the state-of-the-art of the optoelectronic devices including photodetectors,phototransistors and kesterite solar cell will be presented. Afterwards, the basicphotodetection mechanism and key device figure of merits are described. Finally, the recentprogress in the CZTS solar cell and their advanced elaboration techniques are reviewed indetail. Next, metaheuristic techniques and their potential for treating many engineeringproblems are presented. An overview of various metaheuristic algorithms such as geneticalgorithm (GA), particle swarm optimization (PSO) techniques and their derivatives arediscussed in details, indicating its potential application for optimizing novel optoelectronicdevices.Thereafter, two novel UV photodetector designs are proposed and analyticallyinvestigated in order to achieve the dual-benefit of high-performance photoreceivers andreduced power consumption. The first one relies on combining front glass texturization toenhance the device performance. While the second design aims at developing self-poweredphotodetectors by using dual material aspect. The proposed designs are optimized usingPSO-based approach, where improved device FoMs are achieved.Afterwards, new CMOS compatible phototransistor designs are introduced in thesecond part of this thesis. We focus on improving the device sensitivity and reduce itsfabrication cost by proposing a new design based on the junctionless aspect. The proposedstructure is then optimized using GA technique, where it offers an outstanding capability achieve high-performance phototransistor. We also propose in this chapter a new opticallycontrolled tunneling field effect transistor (OC-TFET) based on SiGe/Si/Ge Hetero-channelin order to enhance the optical commutation speed and reduce power consumption. Theinvestigated phototransistor designs share the ultra-sensitivity and weak signal detectioncharacteristics, which enables reducing the power from the emitter stage and therebydecreasing the power budget.This thesis defines also a path to enable improved efficiency values of kesterite solarcell by appropriately engineering the absorber layer. Firstly, a graded band-gap aspect isintroduced to avoid the recombination losses and enhance the carrier separation. Secondly,intermediate metallic sub-layers are introduced in the CZTS region to simultaneouslyachieving reduced optical losses and lower series resistance. PSO-based approach isconducted with the aim of maximizing the power efficiency. The physical reasons thatgovern the efficiency enhancement are also discussed.Finally, the role of introducing an intermediate Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) thin-film inimproving the Au/Si Schottky Barrier Diode (SBD) electrical and thermal stabilityperformances is experimentally analyzed. The Au/ITO/Si/Au structures with different ITOthicknesses were fabricated using RF magnetron sputtering technique. The current-voltage(I-V) characteristics of the elaborated structures are studied. Moreover, the effect of theannealing process on the device performance is investigated. Our study shows that theannealed SBD allows avoiding the degradation related-heating effects
