TiO2 thin films were prepared on glass and ITO substrate by sol–gel process. Theirstructural and optical properties were examined of different steeping at variouscalcination temperatures. The films were characterized with X-ray Diffractométre,DSC, fluorescence X spectroscopy, UV-VISIBLE spectroscopy, opticalmicroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The XRDpatterns show that the xerogel of TiO2 are amorphous, and they transform into theanatase phase from 350°C, and we notice the appearance of the phase brookiteafter 400°C. In the case of the sample obtained with 400°C and 10 steepings , weobserve the appearance of the phase rutile , normally this one must appear with800°C. The crystallite size of TiO2 thin films is increased with increasingcalcination temperature. The color of the thin layers obtained varies according tothe temperature of annealing and of the number of steeping. The thickness variesbetween 20–285nm. The thermal analysis of the powder shows that thecrystallization of TiO2 is from 400°C. The thin layers of TiO2 are transparent in thevisible and opaque in UV, and this some are the temperature of annealing and thenumber of steeping. The increase in the number of steeping returns the layersopaque, what minimizes their transmission.

A cross sectional study was conducted for determination of camel theileriosis and investigation of associated potential risk factors in Northern State, Sudan. A total of 202 blood samples from camel were collected and examined using Direct smear and Geimsa stain method. The result indicated that camel theileriosis infection was prevalent among camel at Northern State with an overall prevalence of 3%. The following risk factors showed association with camel theileriosis in the univariate analysis under significant level of P-value ≤ 0.25: sex (P-value= 0.219), age (P-value =0.236), body condition (P-value= 0.000), previous history of disease of the animals (p-value=0.000), present of ticks in the animals (p-value=0.000) . Using multivariate analysis to determine possible significant association between theileriosis and potential risk factors, the result showed that there was significant association with the investigated risk factors. In conclusion the disease should be tackled seriously and control programme can make and contribute towards prevention at Northern state.

The human genome is constantly exposed to exogenous and endogenous agents that can cause DNA damage and alter its integrity. It is essential to maintain genomic integrity to ensure proper cell function and faithful transmittance of genetic information. Therefore, cells counteract the effects of DNA damage by activating DNA damage response, a coordinated series of complex mechanisms including sensing, transducing, and activating the appropriate DNA repair pathway. In this study, we aimed to identify novel proteins that contribute to maintaining genomic stability through two independent experimental approaches: RNA interference (RNAi) reverses genetic screening and Stable Isotope Labeling by Amino acids in Cell culture (SILAC)-based mass spectrometry (MS) in Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans). Through reverse genetic screening, we screened 252 gene clones from the chromatin ontology subset of the Ahringer RNAi library. We identified and confirmed 25 genes that showed increased hypersensitivity to Hydroxyurea (HU). The identified candidates primarily function in chromatin silencing, DNA repair, and regulation of transcription, suggesting a potential involvement in DNA damage response signaling. Further, SILAC-MS analysis of C. elegans’ response to cisplatin revealed an upregulation of proteins associated with stress and detoxification processes, including Glutathione S-Transferase (GST) and complement C1r/C1s, Uegf, Bmp1 (CUB) domain-containing proteins. Overexpression of GST was previously reported to be associated with acquired resistance to cisplatin. Therefore, our data can provide a list of predictive biomarkers and drug targets for more effective and personalized patient treatments. In addition, the dataset we provided is considered a valuable source of information for the scientific community's future studies in DNA damage and drug response.
