Para eso, es imprescindible ver como se estableció la sociedad morisca en laRegencia de Argel antes de la Reconquista de al Ándalus.Con el general Tarik Ibn Ziyad bajo las órdenes de su superior Musa Ibn Nusair,gobernador del norte de África, se conquista la Península ibérica. Esta conquista da elnacimiento del espacio de al- Ándalus, gobernado por los musulmanes durante ocho siglos,del año de 711 hasta el año 1492, edificando una de las civilizaciones más brillantes en laHistoria de la Humanidad.Muchos historiadores consideraron la España musulmana como un gran centro cultural, elmás resplandeciente de la época y otros calificaron la presencia musulmana en al- Ándaluscomo la Edad de Oro islámica.Antes de la Reconquista de al Ándalus, los musulmanes, judíos y cristianos vivieron enpaz; no conocieron ni guerras ni tampoco expulsión por causa de la creencia. Después de lamuerte de Almanzor, empezó la fitna entre los musulmanes y, los cristianos empezaron laReconquista de sus tierras, a partir del siglo XI. Durante los IV siglos siguientes, al Ándalusfue reconquistada por completo, quedando en el siglo XIII sólo el reino de Granada quepudo resistir al avance de los Reyes Católicos, durante III siglos.

Background: Campylobacter jejuni is the main cause of gastroenteritis worldwide. Symptoms of C. jejuni infections range from asymptomatic to bloody diarrhea. Previous studies showed a strong association between diversity in presence of bacterial virulence factors including: Campylobacter invasion protein B (CiaB), fibronectin-binding outer membrane protein (CadF), cytolethal distending toxin B (CdtB), Clp ATP dependent protease (ClpP) and HtrB protein. The aim of this project was to study the association between prevalence of the aforementioned genes, the antimicrobial resistance patterns of the isolates, and the demographic data of patients. Methodology: A total of 174 archived isolates of C. jejuni were obtained from stool samples of symptomatic patients in the Microbiology Laboratory at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). Isolates were revived using selective media and DNA was extracted from posititve colonies. C. jejuni isolates were screened by real-time PCR for the presence of five of virulence-associated genes. Isolates were also tested for the antimicrobial susceptibility to common antimicrobial agents used in HMC including: chloramphenicol, ciprofloxacin, erythromycin and gentamicin. Demographic data such as age, gender and nationality were also collected fromt he medical charts of subjects included in this study. Results: 75% of the isolates were obtained from patients younger than 5 years old. 60.3% of the participants were males and 57% of the subjects were from the Arabian Peninsula. All the virulence genes were detected with different percentages. There was a significant association between gender (male) and presence of two of the virulence genes cadF and clpP (P value: 0.022 for both). No clear associations were found between presence of the remaining virulence genes and demographic data; or between antimicrobial susceptibility patterns with age, gender and nationality. Isolates were highly sensitive to all antimicrobial agents except ciprofloxacin, where high resistance was observed. Conclusion: Gender (male) was strongly associated with presence of cadF and clpP genes. Other correlations between prevalence of virulence genes, antimicrobial susceptibility and demographic data were found to be insignificant. Further investigation on the characteristics Campylobacter jejuni, and how they induce different symptoms and responses to their infection are needed.

Chick lit emerged as a literary genre three decades ago. Chick lit swept the literary world by storm overnight and transformed the world of contemporary women’s fiction. Chick lit’s light tone makes it easy to overlook the idea that chick lit novels still reinforce patriarchal views about women. Therefore, this work sets to prove the presence post-feminist backlash in chick lit novels through the analysis of two chick lit novels. In Lauren Weisberger’s two chick lit novels The Devil Wears Prada (2003) and The Singles Game (2016), post-feminist backlash against women is an underlying presence. In both novels patriarchal views about women and professional work are reestablished. Through the depiction of miserable stressed career women, the novels implies that women are not fit for professional career and a happy, fulfilled women to leads a more domestic lifestyle. Moreover, The Singles Game showcases the renewed focus on female body in the women’s sports and exposes underlying sexism that still prevails in western society. Furthermore, The Devil Wears Prada showcases the dangers of women in power.

This work investigates the use of adaptive sliding-mode observer for sensor less power control of double fed induction machine (DFIG) in wind energy conversion systems, The sliding-mode observer (SMO) proved by Lyapunov criterion witch used to estimate the rotor position and speed information for the vector control of the DFIG, the control strategy for flexible power flow control is developed by applying flux oriented vector control (technique), The analyzed and simulation results in MATLAB/ Simulink platform confirmed the good dynamic performance of this sensor less control for DFIG based variable speed wind turbines.

Les liquides ioniques (LIs) ont été identifiés en tant qu'une des nouvelles classes de solvants qui donnent la possibilité de transformer les procédés chimiques traditionnels en technologies propres et vertes grâce à leurs propriétés physico-chimiques favorables telle que leur non-volatilité dans l'atmosphère. Leur usage industriel est encore limité par des arguments financiers et, aussi, l’énorme quantité de liquides ioniques potentiellement utilisables rend l’étude et la rationalisation de leurs propriétés absolument essentielles. Les objectifs de cette thèse s’insèrent dans la compréhension des propriétés thermodynamiques des mélanges contenant des liquides ioniques au niveau des interactions moléculaires. Deux approches complémentaires seront suivies: une expérimentale avec la détermination des propriétés thermodynamiques des mélanges contenant des liquide ioniques dans des systèmes binaires ( E L-V) et dans des systèmes ternaires (E L-L) soigneusement choisis et une autre plus théorique ( l’équation d’état soft-SAFT et du modèle prédictif COSMO-RS).
