This research study investigates the impact of cultural schemata on the process of reading culturally-loaded texts and whether the use of pre-reading activities recompenses for the absence of cultural familiarity. In this regard, EFL readers bring to the text a wide range of experiences. Consequently, such diversity of prior knowledge influences their perception and interpretation of foreign language texts. Here comes the role of cultural schemata, which is indeed a very critical role. How do cultural differences in background knowledge influence student's reading comprehension ability? To recognise the effect of cultural schemata on comprehension, it is essential first to understand the significant role that background knowledge plays in the reading process. Therefore, to carry out this research, a selection of reading comprehension tests was assigned for an experimental and a control group in a quasi-classroom experiment of first-year EFL students at Ibn Khaldoun University (Tiaret). While the experimental group was provided with pre-reading tasks to activate their background knowledge, the control group received no treatment. We collected data from 40 participants. The results show that many EFL learners belonging to the control group display a lack of cultural schemata since their prior knowledge is not activated, which may well impact their reading practices. By contrast, the experimental group participants performed better in the comprehension test than those in the control group. In brief, there is a correlation between activating students' background knowledge and the increase of reading comprehension ability

Résume-Cette étude met l’accent sur les mus et les méthodes adaptés dans la sélection etl’orientation pour former, des equipees scolaires.-Déterminer l’utilité de la sélection et l’orientation des élèves pour former leséquipes scolaires.-La reconnaissance précoce des talents sportifs.-Savoir si l’expérience de l’enseignant joine un rôle dans l’opération de lasélection et l’orientation.-Et sur le terrain, cette étude a en lien le mois de Novembre 2015 jusqu’an Mai2016 au niveau de la wilaya de Batna.-Et nous avons fait aussi une enquête pour contourner le thème de cette étude.-Nous avons adopté une approche descriptive et analytique.-Notre échantillon comportait des inspecteurs et des l’enseignants (318), ainsique le directeur de la coordination du sport scolaire de la wilaya de Batna etl’inspecteur de cycle moyen à Batna Et aussi 50 profs de sport au moyen choisisarbitrairement. Notre travail a adepte aussi l’analyse statistique comme moyenpour notre étude.-les resultats:*Les enseignants forment les équipes et sélectionnent les élèves grâce àl’observation et aux matchs amicaux, et donc arbitrairement. Et cela est du à lafaculté de cette méthode et sa correspondance avec les moyens disponible ausein de l’école.* Le majorité des profs de sports au moyen.*croient que la sélection et la formation des équipes scolaires se font selon desbases scientifiques.*Et la majorité des profs vouent que l’expérience des enseignants jouent un rôleessentiel dans la formation et la sélection des équipes.Abstract-This study comes to hilight the ways and the methods adopted in the selectionprocess and guidance for the formation of school teams.- Determine the esctent of the contribution of the selection process nd directingthe pupils to form the school teams.- Early identification of sport talents.-The knonuledge of wither the experience of the teacher has a role in the procesof selection and guidance to form the school teams.-this study was done at field from November 2015 to May 2016 at the level ofthe walleye of Banta.-It included the willaya league office and the office of the inspector of physicaleducation and some middle schools.-We made also a prospective study for the purpose of knowledge of the subjectof study.-Dereliction of the shortcomings of the used tools.The basic study was on the use of the destructive, analytical approach and itincluded the general secretary approach, and it included the general secretary ofthe willaya league of school sports, the inspector and teachers of physicaleducation who were 318.-The sample included the head of the willaya league of school sports of Bantaand the inspector of physical education of middle schools.50 teachers of middle school, randomly have been selected and adopted both theinterview and questionnaire, which consist 4 files of study.-the statistical analysis of the results has been using percentage and taste K².The most inportans results:* The observation and friendly interview are the methods used by the teacher ofphysical education and sports in selecting and guiding pupils to form the schoolteams.*Though, observation and friendly interview are one of the most inportant levelin the process if selection, they are not sufficient and make the process ofselection random. All these are due to then simplicity and the fits with theopportunities of schools.*The majority of physical education and sports teachers in Middle School thinkthat the process of selection of school teams and guidance of pupils is done onscientific methods.* They think also that this process helps highly in selecting the school teams.They think that teacher’s experience has a great role in the process of theselection and guidance of pupils to form school sport teams

The purpose of this study is to investigate the structural errors made by Sudanese EFL learners’ written persuasive discourse in English. The population of this study was third year students studying English as a foreign language at the Faculty of Arts, AL-Neelain University, Department of English. 40 studentswere chosen from third year.The researcher used a diagnostic test for data collection tool. The test was administered for the students and they were asked to write a persuasive text. The results of the test were analyzed statistically. The findings of the study showed that the students in general, lack the capacity to persuade the audience in their writing. Most learners were unable to use the text structure correctly. The study also showed that students lack techniques such as persuasive devices, cohesion, paragraphing, sentence structure, punctuation and spelling.

La résistance aux anticancéreux est un problème majeur de la chimiothérapie, cela est dû à la réduction de l’efficacité des agents chimio-thérapeutiques résultant d’une rechute ou d’une progression tumorale. Elle peut être de nature intrinsèque ou acquise contrôlée par divers facteurs, ce qui a donné naissance à divers mécanismes de résistance. La multi-résistance aux médicaments est l’un des mécanismes de résistance basé sur l’efflux de médicaments à l’aide de récepteurs appelés ABC « ATP-Binding Cassette » transporteurs à cassettes liant l'ATP. Il s’agit principalement de la P-glycoprotéine (P-gp), la protéine de résistance du cancer du sein (BCRP), les protéines de résistance à multiples médicaments MRP1 et MRP2. Ces derniers ont approximativement la même structure, chacun de ces récepteurs est exprimé avec des taux distincts dans des tissus différents, spécifiques aux substrats transportés. Cependant, au niveau des cellules tumorales ces protéines sont surexprimées. Plusieurs tentatives de limitation de ces protéines ont été menées par le biais de l’étude de l’effet de nombreux inhibiteurs dont plusieurs s’avèrent malheureusement toxiques. En revanche, l’utilisation des exosomes est une approche prometteuse de thérapies anti-cancéreuse. Par ailleurs, les exosomes sont aussi impliqués dans la résistance aux anticancéreux médiée par divers mécanismes. Les travaux scientifiques montrent que les exosomes paraient aider à la répression de la résistance par leur utilisation comme un moyen fonctionnel d'administration de médicaments, parce qu'ils sont non toxiques, non immunogènes et peuvent cibler des cellules et des tissus spécifiques.

The present study is directed towards a comprehensive analysis of metaphor translation in English business texts into Arabic. The study also sheds light on the importance of metaphor as a main characteristic of English economic discourse, and clarifies the significant role metaphor plays in business texts. By selecting some metaphors from business articles on BBC, CNN, Financial Times magazine and Project Syndicate online websites, the study analyzes the data carefully in terms of functions, significance and roles each metaphor plays in its context. The study applies the cognitive approach to metaphor in the analysis of data and sheds light on the significant role this approach has on translation studies. Most importantly, this study investigates the translation strategies and techniques used in translating metaphors of three main source domains: Sport\Game metaphors, War metaphors and Health\Illness metaphors. The findings of the study show that in translating metaphors, which usually cluster in headlines, translators often reproduce the source language metaphorical image into the target language in order to preserve the headline metaphor’s rhetorical effect. The study has also revealed that translators may opt for either preserving the metaphorical image of the source language metaphor or paraphrasing it to make its informative value more explicit; literal translation of some business metaphorical concepts presents itself as a workable solution in many cases because of the shared mood of cognition between English language readers and Arabic language readers. The study maintains that in translating business metaphor, the translator should, first, look for the most circulated translation in the TL, or else; s\he should weigh up the significance and function of metaphor in context and decide either to reproduce the metaphorical image or paraphrase the metaphor and make its meaning more explicit while preserving its informative value.

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى إلقاء الضوء على واقع مقاومة التغيير وعلاقتها بكفاءة الأداء في مؤسسة سونلغاز بفرعغرداية، بالإضافة إلى تحديد مستوى كل من مقاومة التغيير وكفاءة الأداء لدى موظفي هذه المؤسسة، ومن أجل تحقيقأهداف هذه الدراسة إعتمدت هذه الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، حيث إستخدمت أداة الإستبيان في جمعالبيانات حول موضوع الدراسة، بالإضافة إلى بعض الأساليب الإحصائية الخاصة ببرنامج spss v 24.0 .ومن النتائج المتوصل إليها في هذه الدراسة نذكر من بينها:- يوجد مستوى عال من مقاومة التغيير لدى موظفي مؤسسة سونلغاز فرع غرداية.- يوجد مستوى عال من كفاءة الأداء لدى موظفي مؤسسة سونلغاز فرع غرداية.- توجد علاقة إيجابية قوية بين مقاومة التغيير وكفاءة الأداء في مؤسسة سونلغاز فرع غرداية.وفي الأخير توصي هذه الدراسة بالتعامل مع مقاومة التغيير بطريقة تمكن من ضمان عدم عرقلة تطوير كفاءةالأداء.This study aims to shed light on the reality of resistance to change and its relationship to performance efficiency in Sonelgaz Corporation in Ghardaia branch, in addition to determining the level of both resistance to change and performance efficiency of the employees of this institution, and in order to achieve the objectives of this study, this study relied on the descriptive and analytical approach, Where the questionnaire tool was used to collect data on the subject of the study, in addition to some statistical methods related to the spss v 24.0 program.Among the results reached in this study, we mention among them:- There is a high level of resistance to change among the employees of Sonelgaz, Ghardaia branch.- There is a high level of performance efficiency among the employees of Sonelgaz, Ghardaia branch.- There is a strong positive relationship between resistance to change and performance efficiency in Sonelgaz, Ghardaia branch.Finally, this study recommends dealing with resistance to change in a way that enables to ensure that the development of performance efficiency is not hindered
