Noura Mansouri, Zakaria Driss

The aim of the thesis is to consider the performance of some control methods towards theproblem of hybrid synchronization of uncertain chaotic systems. These systems areinteresting due to the sensitive dependence on initial conditions or what is called the butterfly effect; this feature makes chaotic systems exhibit random behavior. Therefore, thesynchronization of chaotic systems with uncertain parameters is an attractive problem, especially in the field of secure communication, that has been intensively studied in the lasttwo decades. The problem of uncertainties on the parameters, in the field of nonlinear controlsystems, has been solved especially when advanced control methods are used. However, the effect of synchronization of two chaotic systems with uncertain parameters and hybridsynchronization type on some advanced control method is still questionable. The thesis iscomposed of three main points, each of them dealing with the studied problem from adifferent aspect. In the first point, we considered the performance of adaptive synchronization in which selftuning adaptive control and active control method are used. This approach has been used intensively to solve the studied problem, but many problems have been reported, and one of the problems is the wrong estimation of the unknown parameters. This problem occurs when two identical or partially identical chaotic systems are synchronized in which the synchronization prevents the adaptation laws to estimate the true values of the unknown parameters. This problem is considered in chapter 2 of the thesis in which we explained the problem, gave the proposed solutions, and the contribution. In the second point, predictive control, particularly generalized predictive control (GPC), has been considered. This approach is sort of complex control method in which the accuracy of the model plays a vital role during the control process. Therefore, we examined, in chapter 3, the performance of GPC towards the studied problem. This chapter consists of two parts. Part one focuses on GPC based on fuzzy PID controllers in which we discussed the roll of the linear model. Part two investigates the performance of GPC based on a neural network model (NNGPC).In the first point and the second point, the synchronization type used is completesynchronization. Therefore, in the third point (chapter 4), we addressed the problem ofhybrid synchronization of uncertain chaotic systems in which we investigated theperformance of the studied control methods. In general, the effect of synchronization or hybrid synchronization of uncertain chaoticsystems on some advanced control methods is partial. The field of chaos synchronizationusing feedback control is an independent field of research, but the performance of studiedmethods may not be satisfying when the field of secure communication is involved.

The Karim Small Fields (KSF) block, measuring approximately 70 km in length and 25 km in width, is located along the eastern flank of the South Oman Salt Basin. Based on facies distribution and reservoir characteristics, the Gharif Formation is subdivided into Lower, Middle, and Upper Gharif members. Within the Karim Small Fields block, the Gharif Formation contains oil-bearing zones in the Lower and Middle Gharif members. This study presents a stratigraphic and petrophysical analysis along with a three-dimensional geological (static) model. A stratigraphic framework was constructed by defining the lithofacies and lithofacies associations of the Gharif Formation using the available core section. Additionally, the study evaluates rock properties, reservoir quality, and hydrocarbon potential based on petrophysical analysis and static modeling within the Karim Small Fields block. An 18.2 m core section, covering only the uppermost part of the Middle Gharif Member, was used for stratigraphic analysis. Based on sedimentary structures and grain size, five lithofacies were identified: (i) poorly cross-laminated coarse to granule sandstone, (ii) planar laminated coarse to granule sandstone, (iii) trough cross-laminated coarse to medium-grain sandstone, (iv) rippled laminated fine-grain sandstone, and (v) poorly cross-bedded pebbly sandstone. Two lithofacies associations were defined based on these lithofacies: (i) channel-fill facies association, and (ii) crevasse splay facies association, both deposited by a multichannel, low sinuosity braided river system. Seventeen wells with basic conventional wireline logs were analyzed to identify rock types and lithologies, calculate shale volume, total and effective porosity, estimate permeability, fluid saturations, and fluid contacts in reservoir intervals across different fields. The well SM-84 was used as the analogy well for correlation, as core data were only available for this well, introducing some uncertainty in petrophysical parameter selection. Neutron-density logs provided reliable shale volume estimates after correlation with core-derived shale volumes, and the density log was subsequently used to calculate total and effective porosities. Four rock types were identified in the Gharif Formation: sand, heterolith, shale, and tight sand. Fluid saturations were calculated using the Indonesian equation due to the presence of shale units. Permeability was estimated using the polynomial equation: 𝑦 = − 9795.7 𝑥 4 + 8131.4 𝑥 3 − 2418.7 𝑥 2 + 316.12 𝑥 − 13.731 y=−9795.7x 4 +8131.4x 3 −2418.7x 2 +316.12x−13.731 The oil-water contact in each field was determined from deep resistivity and density logs, as pressure data were unavailable. The thickness of sand bodies decreases from the eastern and southeastern parts (source area) toward the western and northwestern parts (basinal area) of the Karim Small Fields. Thickness variations within the block are attributed to erosion effects, salt withdrawal and dissolution, and distance from the source area. Integration of all petrophysical data led to the construction of a consistent 3D geological model. A grid size of 100 m × 100 m was selected for the 3D structural framework, resulting in a total of 30,810,780 grid cells. The Gharif Formation was subdivided into five stratigraphic zones based on sand body distribution identified in the correlation section, with a total of 165 vertical layers. A facies model for the Gharif Formation was established using reservoir rock typing results and Truncated Gaussian Simulation. Property modeling included effective porosity modeling via Sequential Gaussian Simulation. Volumetric calculations indicate a total oil-in-place volume of approximately 52,680 × 10³ sm³ for the Karim Small Fields.

Cyclopolymerization of unsaturated quaternary piperazinium compounds

Shaikh Asrof Ali ,

The piperazine moiety, having two amine functional groups, was used as starting material to synthesize quaternary piperazinium salts having two allyl groups at one nitrogen, while the other nitrogen was blocked as amide with formyl and long chain hydrophobic acyl groups. The homopolymerization of the formyl derivative and its copolymerization with 1-10 mol% pf corresponding acyl compounds were carried out in water using different reaction conditions. Rheological behaviour of aqueous solutions of the above homopolymer and copolymer was studied. The incorporation hydrophobic group in the copolymer chains was found to increase the viscosity of the aqueous solution. Addition of salt (NaCI) to the aqueous polymer solution exhibited the typical behaviour of polyelectrolytes. Copolymerrization of sulfur dioxide and the formyl piperazinium salt was also carried out. Anion exchange resins were prepared by copolymerizing tetraallyl-piperazinium dichloride (cross-linker) with the diallyl derivative and swelling coefficient was determined for these resins.

Prostatitis is an inflammation of the prostate gland. There are four various categories of prostatitis will be described in this review and the classification of these types depends on the symptoms and the manifestation of the condition. This study has been carried out on Toll Like Receptor related with prostatitis patients who attended to the urology out patients department (UOPD) of Al-Sader Teaching Hospital in Basrah, Al-Sader Teaching Hospital in Missan south of Iraq during the period from January 2019to October 2020.This study was conducted to detect the various TLRs from Prostatitis patients by phenotypic and molecular methods with a study of titer of prostate specific antigen and detection of TLRs by flow cytometry. From total number of (135) patients with prostatitis were taken from two provinces (Basrah and Missan) from the Basrah Teaching Hospital and Missan Teaching Hospital that included in the present study. The age of patients was ranged between 40 ->70 years and135individuals regarded as control group without any urological problems were also studies. In the clinical study found that patients presented with irritative symptoms with P <0.05. The study also found that patients presented with Obstructive symptoms with P <0.05. The study also found patients presented with Other symptoms with P<0.05. And present study found that patients with Suprapubic Tenderness with P-value <0.05. And in clinical symptoms show that the age group 40-49 years with P <0.05. Age group 50-59 years found with P <0.05. The third age group 60-69 years and the final age group >70 years with P <0.05. This study shows the effect of PSA level inpatients with prostatitis and control group, with P-value <0.05therefore the study shows a positive significant between elevated PSA levels and Prostatitis. The molecular expression study include extracting DNA from blood of Prostatitis patients, Prostitis patients and Control group by using specific primers for conventional PCR and Real Time PCR, The amplification of all extracted DNA from blood samples was preform and confirm by using electrophoresis with (100volt/30min) , The result of this estimation revealed that the amplified DNA(PCR product) was 135bp for TLR1gene (50voltage for 1hour)and the presence of TLR1 was 75% from total samples , (PCR product) was 125bp for TLR2geneon agarose gel(1%) ,(50volt/1hour) with a presence of 95% ,(PCR product) was 227bp for TLR4geneon agarose gel (1%) , (50 voltage for 1hour ) with a presence 100%, (PCR product) was 149bp for TLR7geneon agarose gel (1%) , (50voltage for 1hour) with a presence 100% ,(PCR product) was 279bp for TLR10 gene on agarose gel (1%), (50volt/1hour) with a presence 80%. The results of the present study indicate that the Toll like receptor alleles associated with risk of prostatitis. the results from sequencing of TLR4 and TLR10 were shown as following there are clear convergence between TLR4 gene and that of the Gen Bank database. Where there were single mutation appeared in forward TLR4 as A to G 317 1,2. And for reverse TLR4 showed five mutations when we compared with a Gen Bank database as T to C 8221,2.T to A 296 1,2.T to G 298 1,2.A to C 301 2.G to A 406 1,2. And there is no convergence between TLR10 genes and that of the Gen Bank data base. The importance of sequencing in this study to detect if there is any mutation in TLRs genes in patients of prostatitis, There are no studies interested with sequencing of TLRs with the relation of prostatitis so we will compare our results with studies on other diseases. In flow cytometry results the present study found that TLR2 in Prostatitis patients was 94.6%, and Prostitis (prostate cancer) was 1.16% and in the control group was 48%,and found TLR4 was 98.5% in prostatitis patients, and Prostitis was 85.1% and in the control group was 97% by total monocytes of total white blood cells.
