Database integrity is crucial to organizations that rely on databases of important data. They suffer from the vulnerability to internal fraud. Database tampering by internal malicious employees with high technical authorization to their infrastructure or even compromised by externals is one of the important attack vectors. This thesis addresses such challenge in a class of problems where data is appended only and is immutable. Examples of operations where data does not change is a) financial institutions (banks, accounting systems, stock market, etc., b) registries and notary systems where important data is kept but is never subject to change, and c) system logs that must be kept intact for performance and forensic inspection if needed. The target of the approach is implementation seamlessness with little-or-no changes required in existing systems. Transaction tracking for tamper detection is done by utilizing a common hashtable that serially and cumulatively hashes transactions together while using an external time-stamper and signer to sign such linkages together. This allows transactions to be tracked without any of the organizations’ data leaving their premises and going to any third-party which also reduces the performance impact of tracking. This is done so by adding a tracking layer and embedding it inside the data workflow while keeping it as un-invasive as possible. DBKnot implements such features a) natively into databases, or b) embedded inside Object Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks, and finally c) outlines a direction of implementing it as a stand-alone microservice reverse-proxy. A prototype ORM and database layer has been developed and tested for seamlessness of integration and ease of use. Additionally, different models of optimization by implementing pipelining parallelism in the hashing/signing process have been tested in order to check their impact on performance. Stock-market information was used for experimentation with DBKnot and the initial results gave a slightly less than 100% increase in transaction time by using the most basic, sequential, and synchronous version of DBKnot. Signing and hashing overhead does not show significant increase per record with the increased amount of data. A number of different alternate optimizations were done to the design that via testing have resulted in significant increase in performance.

جاءت هاته الدراسة بعنوان دور التدقيق الداخلي في تقييم الأداء المالي للمؤسسات الاقتصادية دراسة حالة مؤسسة سوناطراك وحدة الصيانة بسكرة للإجابة عن الاشكالية التالية ما هو دور التدقيق الداخلي في تقييم الأداء المالي في المؤسسة الاقتصادية و كان الهدف معرفة ماهية المراجعة الداخلية، دور القوائم المالية في تقييم الأداء المالي. و تم اتباع المنهج الصفي و التحليلي في الجانب النظري من الدراسة كما تم دراسة الحالة لإسقاط المفاهيم النظرية على مؤسسة سونطراك بسكرة وتم التوصل الى النتائج التالية: - قمنا بدراسة وتقييم إجراءات الرقابة الداخلية لمعظم الأنشطة بالمديرية وكانت النتيجة ان المؤسسة تعطي أهمية بالغة للتدقيق. - تعد المؤسسة الوطنية سونطراك إحدى اقوى المؤسسات العمومية الاقتصادية في الجزائر من حيث الاداء المالي.

Notre travail est consacré à la synthèse et la caractérisation d’une série de dérives thiazoliques à forte délocalisation électronique comprend deux sortes de molécules: les 5–arylidène–2–imino–4–thiazolidinones et les 5–Arylidène–3–N(4–methylphenyl)–2–thioxothiazolidin–4–one à partir de la condensation des thiazolidinones possédant un groupement méthylène actif et les aldéhydes dans l’acide acétique. La synthèse et la caractérisation complète de ces dérivé est suivi par une étude théorique pour le composé (Z)–5–benzylidene–3–N(4–methylphenyl)–2– thioxothiazolidin–4–one de la formule chimique C17H13NOS2. Cette étude théorique est basée sur la théorie fonctionnelle de la densité DFT avec les différentes fonctionnelles (B3LYP, PBE0, CAM–B3LYP, ωB97X–D, et M05–2X) en utilisant la base d’orbitale atomique 6–311++G(d,p) pour obtenir la géométrie optimale, les énergies des orbitales moléculaires les plus hautes occupées (HOMO) et les énergies des orbitales moléculaires les plus basses vacantes (LUMO) et l’écart entre les orbitales moléculaire le gap énergétique |HOMO–LUMO|. Nous avons calculé le gap énergétique expérimentalement à partir du spectre UV–Visible en utilisant la méthode Tauc plot basée sur l’ajustement linéaire de l’interception de l’axe X. Les paramètres géométriques tels que les distances, les angles de valence, et les angles dièdres de la molécule étudiée ont été déterminé au niveau B3LYP/6–311++G(d,p). Une étude et discussion détaillé des propriétés optiques linéaires et nonlinéaires tels que le moment dipolaire μ, la polarisabilité moyenne 𝛼,l’anisotropie de polarisabilité Δ𝛼, et l'hyperpolarisabilité du premier ordre β a été réalisée afin de vérifier le transfert de charge intramoléculaire au sein de cette molécule ce qui correspond à une distribution de charge asymétrique. Les résultats de calcul ont été comparés avec celles dans la littérature pour la même famille de molécule ou des molécules similaires. Une compatibilité significative entre ces résultats a été observée. Ces propriétés électriques constituent l’intérêt principal dans ce travail de recherche.

The sports field has been expanded in drastic change during the last two decades in most countries who are hosting international tournaments like Olympic Games, World Cups or World Championship tournaments of different kind of sports and games. As example of these countries is the State of Qatar who hosted couple of GCC, Asian and International tournaments of many sports such as the 17th Arabian Gulf Cup - Doha 2004, The 15thAsian Game – Doha 2016, AFC Asian Cup 2011, 2015 World Men's Handball Championship and others. Moreover, the magnitude of upcoming sport events for any country is playing a big role on the development of sports industry and the infrastructure of the whole country as these events are considered as investment and revenue generated for the country. Subsequently, fulfilling the requirements of International Federations to host these tournaments will impact the construction of infrastructure (transportation, drainage, power substations, treatment plants, etc.), accommodations (Hotels, sports village, etc.) and sports facilities (stadiums, training fields, etc.).The resulting construction complexity, budget and time constraints and number of stakeholders affected by/from these development’ projects increased the needs for the usage of proper project delivery system to achieve the scope of project, deliver on time and proposed budget and prevented any major delay’s causes which may affect the deliverable of such project. The aim and objective of this project is to identify and evaluate the most significant delay’s causes and attributes which affecting the construction industry of sport projects worldwide.The literature part includes the study of delay’s causes related the scope of work, project duration, authorities’ approval, end user interference, consultant and contractor capabilities, etc., in order to define the most affected group of attributes. A list of 44 delays attributes were distributed in 8 groups and presented through an online questionnaire portal in order to reach local and international participants. A total of 101 completed responses were collected and analyzed through different ranking approach and criteria decision-making method like Relative Importance Index (RII), Spearman’s Rank Correlation, T-Test and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP).As a result, the analysis of AHP concluded that “Low level of consultant experience” and “Delays related to Contractor Capabilities” were the most attribute factor and group which delay the construction of sports facility.
