- The use of crop management can be part of the design of sustainable agriculture programs aimed at the preservation of the Algerian flora and biocentric balance. In this context, bio-stimulators represent a new way to support the various methods of protection of medicinal and aromatic plants in the context of conventional or organic farming. In this work we have set ourselves the objective of evaluating not only the biocidal activity of different phyto-preparations based on essential oils of two species of Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis and Rosmarinus tournefortii) subjected to different modes of stimulation on the adults of Tribolium castaneum, but also the effect of foliar application of the stimulators on the adult model plants, and on their yield of essential oil. The results showed that the yield of Rosmarinus officinaliss under the stimulatory effect of salt (Nacl) is more interesting than that of Rosmarinus tourneforteii. The yield of essential oil increases under the stimulatory effect for both species of Rosemary compared to the control. Nevertheless, the same results show that the insecticidal activity by contact denounced that the activity of the essential oils was linked to the stimulating effect. The toxicity of the different treatments evolved with the increase of the dose, which resulted in a better efficiency in relation to the duration of the other treatment and that the insecticidal activity of Rosmarinus tournefourtii under the effect of all the stimulators were more toxic compared to Rosmarinus officinalis
