الملخص

Earthquake research is becoming increasingly essential with the increasing complexity of the problems to be addressed, and which is anongoing challenge for research. This is an area that has become very delicate, especially as earthquakes are becoming more intense and devastating. This is in particular, in determining the characteristics of earthquakes in different sites, and the dynamic behavior of structures and their responses. The proper functioning of structures and structures has become a concern of builders and researchers in the field of construction and civil engineering. As it stands, considerations of service adaptation and sustainability are of particular importance.Hence the need for good modeling of the real system to take into account the effect of all phenomena that have an influence on the dynamic response of structure. In practice, the design of a seismic structure for a building can be done in several ways, but for good behavior towards the earthquake, the current seismic regulations recommend that simple, compact and regular forms be moved, both in plan and elevation but, often for architectural or aesthetic reasons, of available spaces, of complaints of master of the work, some buildings have one or more stalls.Irregularity results in irregular mass distribution, or rigidity, causing an irregular distribution of horizontal seismic loading that can lead to serious concentrations of stresses precisely to the law of structural changes. In order to assess the effects of irregularities on the seismic response of building structures, Nonlinear Static Procedures (NSP) become practical. The NSP requires us to use calculation methods that take into account post-elastic effects for exact prevention of seismic demands. Among them, the 'PUSH-OVER' method is the basis of a new seismic evaluation procedure, "design in performance".The main objective of this paper is to estimate by the «PUSH-OVER» method the non-linear response of a series of self stable reinforced concrete structures with irregular profiles at small, medium and large heights. In more detail, the objectives are:The evaluation of the most important performance parameters such as: the capacity curve, the displacement of levels, and the performance point. Describe the actual behaviour of the structure for determining the actual failure load and the corresponding mechanisms.Develop capacity for scientific demonstration, resonance and interpretation of results. Then the irregularity is one of the parameters; which influences the dynamic behavior of the structures in the event of an earthquake. To answer the question, how does the irregularity affect the dynamic behaviour of these structures? We will try through this work to answer the question, methodically within the framework of this manuscript which is structured in six chapters plus an introduction and a general conclusion. In the general introduction we give thecontext of the study as well as the organization of the research. The first three chapters are devoted to bibliographic study. The first chapter provides an overview of the art of seismic design of buildings and their seismic behaviour. In the second chapter, the parameters of the plane and elevation irregularity affecting the seismic behaviour of BA structures were identified. As well as the different methods of seismic analysis in recent seismic codes, static and dynamic analysis methods, linear and non-linear.In chapter three the theoretical background of the Push-over method is explained, the chapter therefore includes a demonstration of the principle, the purpose of the analysis also the advantages and limitations of the method. In the fourth chapter,we are interested in presenting the different variants of the structures performed for the push-over analysis, and explaining the steps for determining the capacity curve (push-over curve) using the non-linear calculation software “SAP2000V.14”.In chapter five and six we discussed the results for each parameter studied, namely the ultimate resistance of each variant under seismic action, its capacity curve, the performance points and its failure mode.We determine the influence that can have the irregularity of a structure on its behaviour and especially during a given seismic shock. To achieve the objective assigned to it, this work had to be based on nonlinear static analyses, they allow indeed to make studies to identify the sensitivity of the results to the variations of the parameters related to the type of structure. That’s why we did a push-over analysis. From all the analyses carried out in this study in terms of capacity and seismic demand, the following conclusions can be drawn:The understanding of factors influences the behavior of a structure, requires the analysis of several configurations of the structural system. Hence the importance of doing more research on other parameters to be able to better understand the actual behavior of construction.The strength capacity depends on the behavior of each component of the structure, as the failure is related to reaching the deformation limit.The Push-Over method can show us the evolution of the degradation of structural performance as the structural elements laminate.The identification of plane and elevation resistance discontinuities which leads to variations in dynamic characteristics in the inelastic domain.The response of a building to an earthquake is conditioned not only by the characteristics of the seismic movement, but also by the rigidity of the stressed structure.The determination of the performance point by this method is very useful because it gives a clear idea of the degree of damage of the structure.The Push-over method is a simple and efficient non-linear analysis method that can replace complex exact methods provided it is improved.
