ترجمة الملخص

This study aimed to analyze the role of the security institution in achieving societal security in the city of Diwaniyah. The focus was on understanding the relationship between security activities and community challenges, as well as how to enhance cooperation between security agencies and the local community to improve security. The study explored various aspects of societal security, including the impact of social, economic, and political factors on the security level.The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach to data collection and analysis. A field survey was designed, consisting of a set of questions aimed at exploring residents’ opinions on the effectiveness of the security institution in achieving societal security. The sample included (385)residents of Diwaniyah, selected randomly to ensure the diversity and inclusion of various age and social groups.The study reached several key conclusions, including that the security institution plays a vital role in achieving societal security, particularly through enhancing cooperation between citizens and security agencies. The results also indicated an urgent need to build greater trust between citizens and security institutions, as well as to develop the tools and techniques used by security agencies to address modern security challenges. The study recommended the importance of greater community involvement in security activities to enhance the sense of safety and increase the effectiveness of security interventions
