The Arabic language id a language that is rich with its vocabulary-one of the reasons behind this ichness, and may be the most important, is that its derivative nature-derivation with its three types (the small, the large and the larger), has inrich the language with abundauce of vocabulary with various meaning.This study takles through research in the semantic side of the derivative structures which are labeled as with its broad, comprehensive concept reached to by later grammarians. Therefore,this study contains analysis of structures.No,doubt, the researcher was confronted with difficulties in extracting those structures and their semantic singnificance. This denotes the evident provety in the linguists’s treatment, especially when compared with thgeir treatment of meaning of words.Hence was the difficulty in sorking out a plamn to pursue in stuely the early mentaioned structures thus, the research was proceeding according to what the researcher inferred from analyzing such structures and their contexts, supported by the evidence collected from existent literature. The main references belonged to works by sibuaih, ibn genni, Ibn el-Hajib, Ibn Malic and others..It should be noted, however that sebuai’h bok was the main source that enriched the researche’s knowledge ablout the early mentional structures this study concludes introduction and three chapters. The introduction headed , takles the concept as used by early 2linuiststs and grammarians, stating with sebuaih, up to the hate grammarians.It refers to how this concept was developed to include in its meaning three other kindes of derviatives arabic languages. The first was headed as “the term of forebuaih and the second “the term of after sebuaih”.Morever,the introduction refers also to the concept of derivationas many researchers did by preceding their discussions with a brief reference to this discipline.The first chapter tackles the structures of in Holy Qura’n and is deriveted into three sections. The first section deals with th structiure of from the basic form the verb (Al-thualathy) while the second is about the structure of from the kinds of the verbs. The third section takles the meaning ofon the past participale as many linguist believe in their closeness in the semantic level.The second chpter takles the structure of in Holy Qura’n and its meaning this source in two sections about the regular and irregular structuires of. The third chapter is about in Holy Qura’n.The method used, in recording these linguistic phenomenan of the grammar and meaning which these structuires show in Holy Qura’n, depended m,ainly on the following basis: the study is confined in its research in the concerned structures to the reading of Hifs bin A’asim, in spite of using some other readings to suport some views. 3The study is cionfined on using words with the their single and double number state, with out referring to the plural to those derivatives under study.Each chapter contained a brief introduction defined the dervative structure and how it was derivared from different kindes of verbs.As for the abundance of these words denoting such structures, the study contains an appendix of statistical references to those structures in Holy Qura’n.This is the general content of the dissertation.
