- This work studies the impact of financial integration on the economic growth in the Maghreb (Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia). Several authors recommend the liberalization of the capital account because of positive effects which it induces through the increase in savings, the diversification of the risk, and the increase in the investment. Nevertheless, this policy can also cause harmful effects on the economy (the effect of évection, the financial instability and propagation of crises). After having carried out a reform program and adopted the policy of financial liberalization, the three Maghreb countries knew a macroeconomic stability and an improvement of their financial systems. As for the opening of their capital account, the direct foreign investments were the most requested and are not the object of any restriction, on the other hand the investments of wallet at the entry were partially liberalized. Finally the synthesis of the empirical studies, showed us that the impact of financial liberalization on the economic growth is significant for Tunisia but not for Algeria and Morocco.
