The fragmented management of traditional construction projects, which mainly lacks the integration of project processes, often results in schedule delays and cost overruns leading to client dissatisfaction, quality defects, and increase in work accidents and injuries. As a result, claims and disputes are most likely to arise between the contracting parties that can be extremely expensive and may severely impact the project performance. Numerous studies have investigated the influence of integrating sustainable management practices (SMPs) in construction projects on specific project performance objectives, such as cost, time, and quality; however, none has considered the effect of implementing SMPs on claims and dispute resolution. This gave the impetus for this research which aims at studying the impact of implementing an integration of SMPs clusters on construction claims mitigation. To achieve this goal, a comprehensive literature review was conducted and resulted in the identification of 25 critical SMPs and 10 frequent construction claims. Then, a survey was designed and a total of 144 construction engineering industry experts participated to assess the effect of implementing the identified SMPs on claims mitigation. The received data was checked for reliability and then analyzed using Mean Score technique and factor analysis to identify major clusters of SMPs. Then, an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) model was developed via MATLAB software, to establish optimal approaches for integrating SMPs that promote the reduction of different claim types. The research findings highlighted 12 optimal SMPs integrated approaches in eliminating different types of claims. Particularly, the research revealed that high implementation of three clusters of SMPs, namely “experienced green building certified professionals”, “sustainability requirements at early design phase”, and “sustainability requirements at execution phase” have the potential to eliminate or at least reduce the majority of construction claims. This study assists construction project management experts in identifying an optimal combination of a minimum number of sustainable management practices that, if implemented together, can help in significantly reducing targeted types of claims.

This study is broadly concerned with the analysis of ideology in discourse. More specifically, it investigates the role modality plays in reflecting underlying ideologies as well as ideological inconsistencies in three practical analyses of discourse.Achieving these objectives is, I argue, dependent on a view of discourse which is not only functional but also pragmatic. The functional aspect of this view reflects the broad objectives of functional linguistics: i.e. relating linguistic structures to social structures. The pragmatic aspect reflects an emphasis on the need not to exclude 'the reader' from the process of interpretation. Whereas previous studies have either entirely neglected or presented an unsatisfactory account of the reader, the proposed functional-pragmatic approach to discourse analysis resolves this issue by allowing a systematic variance in interpretation. This is done in the light of a systematic account of modality which helps present a realistic and practical consideration of the role of the reader in approaching discourse analysis.Again, in line with a functional and pragmatic view of discourse, the argument put forward in this study is that all 'types' of discourse can be approached in a similar manner for critical analysis. Consequently, practical analyses of ideology through modality in three instances of discourse: literary texts, political texts and scientific texts are presented. The overall aim is to show how a systematic, functional and pragmatic analysis of modality is adequate in critically analysing the ideologies present in all texts.

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى دراسة أثر كفاية رأس المال على ربحية البنوك الإسلامية حيث تم إجراء هذه الدراسة على مجموعة من البنوك الإسلامية التي كان عددها 07 بنوك بنك الراجحي، بنك الجزيرة، بنك دبي الإسلامي، بنك قطر الإسلامي، بنك الدوحة ، بنك الأهلي، وبنك بوبيان، خلال الفترة الزمنية 2014-2020 أي لمدة سبع سنوات باستخدام أسلوب Panel data، حيث شملت الدراسة المتغير التابع والمتمثل في مؤشرات الربحية ( معدل العائد على الأصول، معدل العائد على حقوق الملكية، معدل العائد على الاستثمار، وهامش الربح)، والمتغير المستقل المتمثل في معدل كفاية رأس المال. وكان أبرز ما توصلت إليه الدراسة وجود أثر سلبي لنسبة كفاية رأس المال ومعدل العائد على الأصول، وأثر سلبي لنسبة كفاية رأس المال ومعدل العائد على حقوق الملكية ووجود أثر ايجابي (علاقة طردية) بين معدل كفاية رأس المال ومعدل العائد على الاستثمار كما أن هناك علاقة سلبية لنسبة كفاية رأس المال وهامش الربح

الخطاب الشعري القديم أساس الأدب العربي وجوهرة بما يحمله من تجليات تاريخية و قوالب فنية و لعل العروض وموسيقى الشعر إحدى تلك القوالب الرائعة التي جعلت من الإيقاع والصوت ركيزة في القصيدة الشعرية ومرآة دالة ومعبرة عن الإنسان الجاهلي وعواطفه فالصوت والإيقاع صورة لتلك الآهات والمكنونات حيث يعتبر هذين الأخيرين فواصل في الحياة وهمزة للانتقال من حالة إلى حالة أخرى وتعتبر الظواهر الصوتية والإيقاعية الأكثر نقلا وتصويرا للتجربة الشعرية وتلعب جماليات الإيقاع دورا هاما فهي صفحات إبداعية جاءت بها أنامل الشاعر الجاهلي حيث نلتمس ذلك في الكثير من النماذج الشعرية على غرار المعلقات العشر وشعر الصعاليك ومختلف المقاطع الأحادية فالصوت والإيقاع يكملان بعضهما البعض والصوت جزء من الإيقاع وهذا الأخير قالب متلازم مع الإيقاع الشاعر الجاهلي في بيئته الصحراوية وتقلبات أحواله هنا وهناك وفي الختام يبقى الخطاب الشعري صورة مقدسة وثابتة في تاريخ الشعر العربي.

ملخص الدراسة:سعينا في هذه الدراسة إلى البحث عن الذات في الرواية موضحين كيف أن حضور الذات فيها يختلف من مرحلة لأخرى، تبعا للسياقات والظروف التي تواجه "الذات" كفرد، مجتمع، وطن وأمة.ليتضح لنا أن نكسة العرب 1967 كانت لها تداعياتها على الخطاب الروائي الذي جعلها مركزه ليس على مستوى المضامين والأنساق الثقافية فقط، بل على مستوى فنيات العمل الإبداعي.ويبدو أن رواية "ذاكرة عاشقة" "لممدوح البقاعي" تطرح موضوع الذات الفلسطينية التي تكتسب خصوصية لافتة نابعة مما فرضته تجربة الاحتلال ومحاولات الاقتلاع من طرف الآخر الإسرائيلي، مما ولد صراعا بين الذات والآخر.
