A chemical kinetic model is developed to predict the adiabatic flame temperature and the species concentration profiles for the methanol/oxygen/argon flames. The Modelling is carried out for atmospheric pressure and sub-atmospheric pressure (0.167 atmosphere) and for the equivalence ratio ranging from 0.6 to 1.5. The reaction mechanism for the modelling is used as given by Thomas and Dryer in 1989. It contains 84 elementary reactions and 25 stable and unstable species. The concentration profiles of the stable and unstable species are computed as a function of distance over the burner and a comparison is made between the calculated and the experimental concentration profiles. As the reaction zone is very narrow in the case of atmospheric pressure flame, the comparison is made in the post flame zone only for the species CO₂, CO, H₂ and H₂O. For low pressure flames, the comparisons are made for every point and a good quantitative and qualitative agreement is observed between the computed and the experimental concentration profiles in reaction zone. The study shows a difference between the computed and the experimental concentrations for the post flame zone at low pressure and it may occur due to the diffusion effect which is neglected in this modelling work. A sharp concentration gradient for CO after the peak value at equivalence ratio 1.0 also suggests that the molecular diffusion may effect the profile. This modelling work is useful to analyze the methanol as an alternate fuel and provides an understanding of the combustion phenomena and exhaust emission of methanol.

Cette étude représente un inventaire qualitatif et quantitatif des invertébrés présents sur plaqueminier dans la région de Tala Ouguelid commune de Mechtras (Tizi-Ouzou, Algérie). L’objectif de cet inventaire est l’identification des espèces vivantes en association avec le plaqueminier afin de connaitre leurs effectifs, leur abondance dans le milieu ainsi que les interactions existantes entre elle-même et avec leur plante-hôte, dans le but d’établir le programme de lutte le plus rationnel et moins nocif pour l’environnement et la santé humaine. L’échantillonnage dans la culture a été réalisé avec l’utilisation de deux méthodes de piégeage, à savoir, les assiettes jaunes pour les pièges aériens et les pots Barber pour les pièges terrestres sur une période allant de décembre 2019 jusqu’à août 2020.Nous avons pu répertorier 115 espèces, appartenant à 58 familles, réparties en 13 ordres et 6 classes d’invertébrés avec une richesse d’effectif total de 615 individus. En utilisant les pots Barber nous avons obtenue une richesse totale de 66 espèces tandis que par l’emploi des assiettes jaunes nous avons obtenue une richesse totale de 63 espèces. Nous avons pu également distinguer huit niveaux trophiques : les phytophages, les prédateurs, les hématophages, les nécrophages, les omnivores, les pollinisateurs, les parasitoïdes et les saprophages. Les indices de Shannon-Weaver renseignent sur la diversité présente dans le milieu, les valeurs obtenues sont assez élevé. L’équitabilité tend vers 1 ce qui indique l’équilibre des espèces entre elle-même.

Hepatitis B Virus infection is a major public health problem and causes majority of primary liver cancer. This was descriptive and cross sectional study aimed to evaluate the immune response after hepatitis B Vaccination in Medical laboratory Students. Study was conducted among Medical laboratory students in Omdurman state (Omdurman Islamic University) from April (2015) to May (2016).The blood specimens were collected and sera were separated and stored at -20ºC until used, sera were tested using ELISA for qualititative detection of anti HBVs Ag. Of the total 90 students, with mean age of 25 years included 70 vaccinated students, 62/70 (88.5 %) were responded to HBV vaccine and 8/70 (11.4%) were non responded, of the 20 unvaccinated students only 1/20 (5%) was reactive.Out of seventy vaccinated students 35 were females and 35 were males, females immunologic response were significantly higher than males ( p.value :0.000). Responsiveness was significantly lower in smokers than non-smokers. Diabetes was a risk factor it was found to be significantly correlated ( p.value:0.00) with hepatitis B vaccination irresponsiveness.
