Feeding is a fundamental and defining behavior of heterotrophic organisms and its regulation is important for the fitness of an animal. Serotonin, a master modulator, mediates internal states, modifies existing neural circuits, and regulates multiple behaviors including feeding across all animal species, including humans and fruit flies. However, an in-depth study on the neuromodulatory effects of serotonin on feeding and related behaviors has been held back for several technical reasons. In this work, we used optogenetics and genetic methods to study the systemic effect of serotonin related manipulations on ongoing feeding behavior. We analyze the finer details of the feeding pattern of these flies – also called the feeding microstructure – to elucidate the subtle changes in the feeding aspects controlled by serotonin. We delve into the modulation of this microstructure in different hunger states. We also study the behavior within the context of locomotion and touch upon the differences in feeding aspects in the free and restrained state. We show that serotonin affects multiple parameters in a state-dependent manner and regulates the behaviors differently under a free and restrained state of the animal. We elucidate the role of serotonin receptors in feeding and show that different receptors promote and suppress feeding. We further investigate how chronic alterations in serotonin release from central serotonergic cells may affect the insulin production from brain insulin producing cells and alter the fat storage in the abdominal fat body and visceral organs like intestines.

Breast cancer is considered a global problem of health that affects the breast. Tamoxifen which is non-steroidal selective estrogen receptor modulator. It is considered standard adjuvant therapy and widely used endocrine therapy for a patient with steroid hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. CYP2C19 plays an essential role in forming a proportion of tamoxifen metabolites including converting 4-OH-tamoxifen to endoxifen. Pharmacogenomics studies the impact of the individual’s genome on response to medication and describes how genes influence the metabolism of drugs. Aims of the study: The aim of present study is to identify the single nucleotide polymorphism of (G >A, rs4986893) and (C >T, rs11188072) in a sample of Iraqi breast cancer women and to investigate the effect of CYP2C19 genetic polymorphisms on tamoxifen therapy response. Patients and methods: This is across-sectional observational study carried out at Imam AL-Hussein Medical City/Oncology center in kerbala and laboratories of College of Pharmacy / University of Kerbela . The study was conducted on total 100 females Iraqi women aged 45-65 years with (Esterogen and /or Progesteron- receptor positive breast cancer, taken tamoxifen tablet 20 mg daily dose at least 3 months were included without any diseases.

The digital photomaps which e produced from digital aerial photos have be prested in some detail in resech work. This thesis focuses mainly on producing a rectified photomap and accuracy assessmt of ground check point’s coordinates that e distributed in the chos study ea within a local region which has be used to develop a digital photomap for the urbanized Proposed study ea that is located at a pt of Tripoli City (anofle region).Consequtly, such as urbanized ea the effect of tilt and relief displacemt must be considered in the rectification mathematical model. Due to the rapid developmt in extding an urbanized eas which forms the major problem in developing countries where a lack of up-to-date digital lge scale photomap which can be obtained with save money and effort to produce useful information for purpose urban planning . The Digital airborne imaging systems integrated with in-flight control systems consisting of Global positioning system (GPS) and inertial measuremt units (IMU) that e used to provide the data needed to assist a rectification mathematical model to obtain a rectified digital photomap. Consequtly, the thesis investigates the pottial of using integrated ssors with a number of ground control points to produce a rectified photomap for study ea which contains thirte Digital images acquired from airborne digital camera at flight height 1100m which is main point for the contribution in the study (combination photogrammetric solution); consequtly, the procedure is depdt on a compison betwe result of photogrammetric solutions, which e obtained through direct and indirect approaches against a combined photogrammetric solution. To achieve and obtain usefulness information, twty shped and well distributed check points e chos on the study ea that e used to know the quality of the RMSE in planimetry and elevation at check points according to the adopted Map Standds Accuracy that e worked in surveying deptmt of Libya (SDL), Some good results have be achieved in the study. Since by analyzing the result, which is found that the combination photogrammetric solution that have be giv best result with respect to the geospatial accuracy, and which was chos to produce a rectified photomap of digital aerial images for study ea that e found the produced rectified photomap satisfied the theoretical lge scale mapping of 1:1,000 according to the followed Map Standds Accuracy (SDL).
