الملخص

Bacterial drug-resistance is worldwide problem. Drug resistance is now very wide spread, and strains are commonly encountered that are resistant to more than one drug. Bacteria can acquire resistance to antibiotics as a result of chromosomal mutation, expression of a latent chromosomal gene, by exchange of genetic material through transformation, transduction, or conjugation. This study was done to detect the drug-resistance organisms in national laboratory of public health.A total of one hundred samples and swabs were collected from infected human wound, urine and stool. The totals of one hundred isolates were obtained cultured and identified according to their biochemical proparites and these isolates were belonging to Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Enterococcus spp., Salmonella spp.Shigellaspp, E.coli, Klebsiellaspp and Pseudomonas spp. the sensitivity of isolates to ninteen antimicrobial drugs was examined. Very high resistance to antimicrobial agents was observed. Staphylococci spp. were highly resistance to ampicillin and pencilline (100%) and Enterobacoccus (100%) to ampicillin and nalidixic acid The Streptococcus spp showed high resistance to erythromycin and co-trimexazole (87.5%). Salmonella spp andshigellaspp were compeletely resistant toco-trimexazole(100%) and high resistant to teteracycline (80%). Pseudomonas spp develop Low resistant to carbapenem(17%)and (67%) to third generation of cephalosporines( ceflazidime) . Multi-drug resistance was shown by most of the bacteria strains isolated in this studyFurther extensive work should be carried to survey the prevalence of antibacterial drug resistance.
