ترجمة الملخص

the purpose of the study is to study the results of the proximal portion of the fifth metatarsalfractures in adults either by conservative or by surgical treatment to each type of the fracture . the study has made on 78 patients who has 79 fractures between 2013 –2014 and the male forms56.41 % and the femaleforms43.59 % .The fractures included 67 cases of tubercle avulsion fracture by 84.82% 9 cases of the True jones fracturesby 11.39 %3 cases of stress fracturesin the proximal diaaphysis type Torg II one case by 1.26 %type Torg III two cases by 2.53 %In tubrecle avulsion fracture :♦It's been reached to the union at 65 cases of 66 by 98.48 % and one case by 1.52 % was registered as nonunion when it was treated as conservative treatment and one case was treated surgically and union occurred by 100 % and the results were good in all cases by using AOFAS by 100 % fracture :In true Jones♦the patients who were treated conservatively were 5 patients and the union occurred for 2 cases by 40 % and nonunion occur to the other 3 cases by 60 % , the results were good for 2 cases by 40 % and not good for 3 cases by 60 % .The patient who treated surgically by intramedullary screw were 4 and the union reached for all cases by 100 % , and the results were good by using AOFAS score for the 4 cases by 100 % and the infection happened to one case by 25 % and the injury to the Sural nervebranches happened to one case by 25 % .aphysis type Torg II :diIn stress fracture of the proximal ♦one patient only who was treated conservatively and didn't reach to the union ; the union 0 % and the nonunion 100 % and the results was not good by using AOFAS .aphysis type Torg III :diIn stress fracture of the proximal ♦two patients of Torg III was treated surgically by using bone grafting with intramedullary screwfixation , the union reached at the 2 cases by 100 % and the result was good by 100 % and the injury to the sural nerve occur at one case by 50 % .We concluded these recommandations :the results of the conservative treatment were excellent and effective in the tubrecle avulsion fracturesand bad in Jones Fracture and stress fracture in the proximal diaphysis .we recommended the surgical treatment for the Jones fracture and stress fracture in the proximal diaphysis because of the high rate of nonunion to thesetypesof fractures by using conservative treatment .
