Lřœuvre de Blanchot répond parfaitement à la définition que donne Proust dřun beau livre, celui qui est écrit «dans une sorte de langue étrangère». Consacrée aux sommes critiques et sřappuyant sur des archives inédites, cette recherche à caractère pluridisciplinaire se veut une interrogation sur la pluralité des temps que les textes de Blanchot donnent à penser, sur lřévolution de la représentation blanchotienne du temps et sur les façons dont lřauteur envisage aussi bien le temps chronologico-historique que le temps-espace de lřécriture; le rapport des écrivains à lřun que les métamorphoses de lřautre; ce qui interrompt le premier que ce qui rend ininterruptible le second; les sources profanes que les textes sacrés à partir desquels Blanchot explore ces champs et livre le lecteur à une expérience-limite, à une exploration vertigineuse des temps, à une critique de création, à lřabsence de livre.

Blanchotřs oeuvre perfectly responds to the definition of a good boo provided by Proust, i.e. written Ŗin a sort of foreign language.ŗ Dedicated to the critical works and based on unpublished archives, this multidisciplinary study aims at examining the plurality of times that the works of Blanchot offer for reflection, on the evolution of the blanchotien representation of time, and on the ways through which the author considers chronologico-historical time as well as the time-space of writing ; the relationof writers to the one as well as the metamorphoses of the other ; what may interrupt the first as well as what may render the second uninterruptible ; the profane sources and the sacred texts from which Blanchot explores these fields and directs the reader to a borderline experience, to a vertiginous exploration of time, to a criticism of creation, to the absence of the book.
