ترجمة الملخص

In recent years there has been a significant increase in demand for bandwidth as a result of the increase in the number of Internet users, and the increase in applications that consume a large package offer, including voice over IP video conferencing. Optical networks have responded to this large increase in band width demand by relying on multiplexing Wave length Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology.We studied the scheduling algorithms used inthese networks and compared their performance in terms of burst loss rate and channel utilization rate, taking into consideration the bursting techniques and resource reservation protocols using the OMNET ++ simulation software. The JET protocol provided an improvement in channel utilization rates and burst loss when used instead of the JIT protocol, as well as for the timer based policy when used instead of the thres hold based policy, which improved the previous rates.
