- With the growing concerns of sustainable development, the sector of the building must answer two fundamental requirements: to control the environmental impacts external, and to make sure of healthy and comfortable interior environments for the occupants. In the educational buildings which represent a category of equipment, which reveals a key importance, considering the role that education plays in the development of the individuals and the companies, a comfortable and adequate environment for education must be assured. Hygrothermic comfort is one of the main features which contribute to the creation of an environment favourable for education. It must be taken into account because of the negative influences of an insufficient thermal environment on the performance to learn. The quality of hygrothermic comfort must be taken into account at the time of the initial phases of the design. The main objective of this study is to evaluate and measure the impact of green building envelopes in universities on the hygrothermal comfort of students in a sub-humid climate. It also tends to identify the most efficient vegetation in terms of response to hygrothermal comfort requirements under the conditions of the chosen climate. In order to achieve these objectives, the study is based on the experimental method through the simulation technique using the Ecotect @ version 2011 software. This technique makes it possible to evaluate the hygrothermal comfort, in the department classrooms. architecture at the University of Guelma chosen as a case study. In fact, the results of measurements revealed that climbing plants on a south-east facing wall have a beneficial effect on the building's indoor environment.
