ترجمة الملخص

This study is concerned with the estimation of the relationship between economic growth and the revenue of oil export in Iraq in a sectoral and aggregate levels during the period (1970-2005) by using a number of indicators such as gross demostic product (GDP) , gross fixed capital formation (GCF) and government and private spending . The hypothesis adopted in this study is that economic growth in Iraq depend upon the oil revenue and oil sector regarded as a leading sector and considered as engine of growth. The thesis contains three chapters , The first chapter deals with theortical framework which emphasizes upon the role of exports in economic growth , while the second chapter concerned with the role of oil sector in economic development in Iraq. Chapter three devocted to measurement analysis and evaluation of estimated models. The main finding of this study is that the oil sector represents the leading sector in the economic growth in Iraq . Moreover , on both sectoral and aggregate levels the study revealed that all sectors in Iraq suffer from institutional and supply bottle necks.
