Chaque de nousnous porte en lui une identité qui le différencier des autres .L'écrivain aborde dans cet essaiComment les appartenances sont des obstacles à vivre en paix dans le monde large ? .pourquoicertains identités sont meurtrières ? Et comment surmonter ces difficultés pour vivrecollectivement dans le respect mutuel.Dans notre mémoire nous avons essayé d’analyser la violence dans l’essai d’AmineMaalouf et pour atteindre ce but, de nombreuses étapes ont dû être prises et de nombreusesthéories philosophiques et littéraire sur le sujet de la violence a dû être réfutée. Dans lepremier chapitre on a présenté l’auteur, le résume de notre corpus et la violence et aussi lesociocritique, dans le second chapitre on a analysé la violence dans le corpus (thématique,isotopie et mémé les figures de styles) et dans le dernier chapitre on a fait un analyse du titre etle mélange générique présent dans l’œuvre .

And how to overcome these difficulties to live collectively in mutual respect.In Ourworkwe tried to analyze violence in Amine Maalouf’s essay and to achieve this goal, many steps had to be taken and many philosophical and literary theories on the subject of violence had to be refuted. In the first chapter we presented the author, the summaryof our corpus and the violence and also the socio-critical, in the second chapter we analyzed the violence in the corpus (thematic, isotopie and granmé the figures of styles) and in the last chapter an analysis of the title and the generic mixture presentin the work.
