ترجمة الملخص: Aim of Study: to study the prevalence of overweight and obesity among workers at Aleppo University Hospital. Materials and Methods :Thie cross-sectional study was conducted from August 2015 to December 2016. The study involved 485 workers at Aleppo University Hospital who were devide into doctors group (241 person) and employees group (244 person). Hieght, waist and weight were measured and BMI and WHtR were calculated for all participants. All participants were asked about gastroesophageal disease (GERD) symptoms. Results: The mean age was 29.63 years for doctors, and 39.27 years for employees (p<0.001). 62.2% of doctors and 36.9% of employees were males (p<0.001). 213 (43.9%) of all of the study group have BMI≥25 kg/m2; while WHtR was >0.5 in 270 participant (55.7%). High BMI values where more prevalent among males than females, among employees than doctors, and among higher age groups. 9.2% of all of the study group have GERD symptoms. GERD symptoms were where more prevalent among males than females, among employees than doctors, and among higher age groups .Conclusion: Overweight and obesity are prevalent among an important proportion of workers at Aleppo University Hospital
