ترجمة الملخص

Following the institution of an Islamic regime in Sudan in 1989,policies and institutions were established to Islamize knowledge i.e. usingan Islamic frame of reference to generate knowledge. This thesisexamines the nature of these plans and institutions, and the extent towhich these have succeeded or failed in achieving their objectives.The researcher adopted a number of approaches, ranging fromhistorical, descriptive and analytical ones. Content analysis is also usedwhere appropriate. For data collection, the researcher used variousmethods: a questionnaire, interviews, consultation of documents, books,journals and newspapers.After the analysis of the research material, a number of findingsand conclusion were arrived at. One of these findings is that theexperience of Islamization of knowledge in Sudan is though a relativelyrecent experience, Islamization of knowledge has not yet been fullycrystallized even though it has emerged long time a go outside Sudan.The Sudanese experiment in Islamization of knowledge hardly succeededdue to the primary of political expediency and concern about properproduction of knowledge.
