This experiment was carried out in one of the farms affiliated to the Department of Agricultural Extension/ Ministry of Agriculture, in Al-Muthanna Governorate/Al-Warka District (25km from the city center), during the season (2021-2022) for the purpose of evaluating nine genotypes (G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, G5, G6, G7, G8, G9) of barley yield under the influence of four sowing dates (1,10, 20, 30/November) and compared with the cultivar Aba 265 (G10). The experiment was applied using a randomized complete block design (RCBD) according to split plots with three replications, as the dates filled the main plots and the genotypes in the subplots, the results of the experiment showed The superiority of the genotypes G6, G7, and G9 in most of the growth, yield and qualitative characteristics, where the G6 genotype excelled in the characteristics of the number of days from 75% flowering to physiological maturity, biological yield and protein content with averages of (36.58) days and (20.50) ton ha-1and (13.342)% respectively, and genotype G7 exceeded the number of spikes and grain yield with averages of (610.3) spike m-2and (8.427) ton ha-1respectively, and genotype G9 outperformed in thenumber of days of planting up to 75% Flowering, number of grains per spike, and biological yield, with averages of (113.75) days, (43.92) grains of a spike-1and (20.51) ton ha-1, respectively. As for the variety Aba 265, it outperformed in weight of a thousand grains and biological yield by two averages of (47.06) g and (20.75) ton ha-1 sequentially. The first date (1/11) was superior in many of the studied traits, as it achieved the highest averages in both plant height and number of days from 75% flowering to physiological maturity, flag leaf area, biologicalyield, and finally, specific weight reached (84.26) cm and (35.67) days and (14.96) cm2 and (20.42) ton ha-1and (62.68) kg hectoliter-1 respectively, and the third date (11/20) outperformed the number of grains and grain yield by two averages, which amounted to (41.91) grains of a spike -1and(8.014) ton ha-1 sequentially. Some of the interactions had a significant effect on the traits, as the combination (G7x date 11/20) excelled in the trait of the number of spikes m-2 with an average of (657.0) spike m-2, and that the combination (G2x date 11/20) had It excelled in counting grains in the spike with the highest average of (51.00) grains of a spike-1. As for the combination (G8 x date 11/20) it excelled in the weight of 1000 grains with an average of (50.49) g, and the combination (G9 x date 11/ 30) outperformed in grain yield and biological yield with averages of (9.753 and 23.99) ton ha-1 respectively.
