The studies and research that dealt with cultural obstacles to women's participation in the political process are very few, especially in the Arab world. Therefore, this study is one of the few studies that dealt with cultural obstacles to women's participation in the political process.The most important steps taken to study this subject are diagnosing the terms and concepts used in this study, selecting previous studies similar to this study, analyzing the historical transformations that occurred on the role and status of women in society, highlighting the status of Iraqi women before and after 2003 and studying the most important political transformations that have occurred. With regard to cultural obstacles to women's participation in the political process, the study dealt with the most important cultural obstacles, including values and social standards, family upbringing, women's education and cultural awareness, media and the religious aspect. The cultural obstacles that hinder women's participation in the political process have been diagnosed. The subject of our study cannot be studied scientifically without the use of a number of research methods that guarantee the process of data collection, and the research methods used in collecting information are the interview method and the questionnaire method, and each of these methods helped to collect data on the subject of the study. The social survey method has worked on examining the cultural obstacles responsible for women's non-participation in the political process. These obstacles were diagnosed in the field side of the study, and after their diagnosis, recommendations and proposals were developed to shed light on these obstacles, so that women in Arab society in general and Iraqi society in particular have the ability to participate in the political process. The hypotheses of the study were tested to ensure their credibility through the statistical field study, and after the test study, all the hypotheses of the subject of our study were accepted. The most prominent results of the study, which were obtained by analyzing the data using some appropriate statistical methods, are (that the participation of women in the political process can only be achieved after overcoming and removing a number of obstacles, of which cultural obstacles are an important part, as these obstacles make women unable to play an important role in the political process)
