ترجمة الملخص

This study aimed at recognizing the effectiveness of a training program on basic learning teachers’ acquisition of some active learning skills, and recognizing its effect on improving pupils’ thinking skills. To achieve this aim, the researcher used the semi-experimental approach by designing a scale for active learning skills (pre-test and post-test) and pre-test and post-test for thinking skills of equivalent groups. The population consisted of:-(38) male/female teachers of basic fourth grade (Bachelor degree in Education/ class teacher department or enhancing educational training). Those teachers taught in (31) schools in Hama city in school year 3103-310..-(0668) male/female pupils of basic fourth grade The following tools were used:-A content analysis card for analyzing the science book of basic fourth grade.-A training program according to two active learning strategies: (thinking maps and problem solving) -A scale for active learning skills. This scale consists of two parts:* first part: a test for active learning skills to measure the teachers’ cognitive knowledge before and after the application of the training program.* second part: two observation checklists to recognize the status of first stage teachers’ performance inside classrooms by observing their procedures during applying the skills of active learning strategies (thinking maps and problem-solving). Atest for basic fourth grade pupils’ thinking skills (observation, deduction, recall, description, classification, interpretation and comparison).The study had the following results:-There are statistically significant differences between the means of teachers’ control sample scores and the experimental sample scores in the scale of active learning skills as a whole for the sake of the experimental sample. -There is a positive impact of the training program based on active learning skills on increasing the level of teachers’ application of active skills.-There are statistically significant differences between the means of pupils’ control sample scores and the experimental sample scores in the post-test of thinking skills for the sake of the experimental sample. -There are statistically significant differences between the means of pupils’ experimental sample scores in the pre-test and their means in the post-test of thinking skills for the sake of post-test of thinking skills. -There is a statistically significant positive correlation between the pupils’ experimental sample scores of thinking skills test and teachers’ scores on active learning scale at reference level of 101..Study's Suggestions: According to the study's results, the researcher suggests the following:-Identifying the modern strategies for active learning and training Elementary school teachers, and connecting them with their practical and educational field to have their effects on their practical life at schools.-Encouraging teachers to think creatively when using teaching methods, and adopting modern strategies such as active learning together with different strategies such as: (thinking maps, problem solving), leaving behind traditional methods that make pupils only passive recipients of information. Focusing on how to organize the educational environment in classes, so as to invoke enthusiasm and excitement, through engaging in writing effective research problems that deal with students' field, and contribute in improving students' results and developing their intellectual skills.-Using active learning strategies in teaching different school subjects in Elementary level, according to the study's results which have shown the effectiveness of this method in enriching students' intellectual skills and improving their results.-Providing curricula designers at the undergraduate stage with ways of how to implement thinking maps in the curricula designing process.-Training pupils at the basic educational stage to use thinking maps in their classroom activities in line with their developmental route through the secondary and university stages.
