- This work is divided into two main parts:The first part consists of a bibliographical study on cellular concrete This material, which is both traditional and modern, is suitable for the majority of constructions, both for individual or collective housing and for industrial or tertiary buildings. Aerated concrete is a product based on raw materials derived exclusively from mineral materials ;its constituents are fine sand, cement, lime and an expanding agent (aluminum powder, foaming agent, air entrainer). These concretes have a very high artificial porosity generally exceeding 80% of the volume of the concrete, which is created by the incorporation of a network of air bubbles in the cement matrix, making it a very light concrete. The presence of millions of pores gives it a low density, which makes it a material with excellent thermal and sound insulation properties. Aerated concrete is also an environmentally friendly, modern, solid and homogeneous material. The second part is the study of an irregularly shaped building of 08 floors and a basement located in Blida, a strong area. The aim of this study is to avoid human losses, but also to avoid a technological disaster that uncontrolled damage could cause, maintaining the stability, integrity or functionality of a sensitive, strategic or potentially dangerous installation. In any case, the best way to envisage earthquake-resistant constructions is to formulate criteria that are both economically justified and technically coherent. The first step is to collect data on the structure under study by determining the geometric characteristics and the properties of the materials used, i.e. concrete and steel. These data are necessary to calculate the pre-dimensioning of the load-bearing elements, i.e .the floors, beams (main and secondary), columns and finally the walls. For this study it is essential to calculate also the non-structural elements, which are not part of the bracing system or the load-bearing system, their role is to ensure the safety and comfort of the users, they are generally made of masonry (balconies, partitions ...) or concrete (acroteria, stairs ... etc.). These elements must behave appropriately in the event of an earthquake, The dynamic study which consists in determining the responses of the structure under eismic loads, allows to know the behaviour of the structure with regard to the seismic excitation in order to correct the dimensions of the structural elements, to check their resistance to the seismic loads and also to determine the reinforcement of these resistant elements (columns, beams and sails). In this work, a calculation of the foundations is mandatory because they are the essential part of the structure and transmit all the loads and surcharges supported by the structure to the ground. The type of foundation adapted to our structure is cross-spreading footings. These foundations have been dimensioned and checked for stability and uplift. All calculations must be carried out in accordance with the recommendations of the regulations in force, namely: RPA 99 version 2003, BAEL 91 and DTR-B.C.2.2 .
