- VoIP is a technology that allows communication calls to be made over the internet and it is expected to become the popular for communication due to its low cost. In this project, we studied the VoIP, its architecture and its protocols. In addition, we studied the parameters which can deteriorate the quality of VoIP using simulations on various kinds of computer networks: Ethernet, WiFI and WiMAX by using OPNET Modeler in order to evaluate the influence of the distance, the number of stations and the type of codec on the quality of service.
