Thecurrent study aimed to identify the effect of using role-playing method on the development of social communication skills of five-to-six kindergarten child, specifically both initiating conversation and role-playing respect skills.To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher has used the quasi-experimental method and before/after measurement design, based on the use of two equal groups: control and experimental. The researcher has prepared a guide for a nursery nurse designed in accordance with the method of role-playing; the control group was taught in the conventional way, while the experimental one was taught the same experiences through using role-playing. The study sample consisted of 68 children (Level Three) one of Banias kindergartens, distributed as 36 children in the control group and 32 in the experimental one. The study tools were a note card for the two aforementioned communication skills, applied before, directly-after and postponed-after teaching, in addition to a questionnaire for the children’s mothers of the experimental group only in order to monitor the availability of the two skills (initiating conversation and role-playing respect) of the child from their mothers' points of view as well as the extent of development that occurred to these two skills after the application of role-playing. These tools were shown to a jury, taking into account the accuracy and reliability of these tools as well as its validity to achieve the goal of the current study.For statistical data analysis, the researcher used SPSS statistical analysis program. The most prominent findings of the current study are the following3There is an impact for the use of role-playing method on the development of both initiating conversation and role-playing respect skills by five-to-six kindergarten child.There is a difference between the mean scores of the experimental group children in favor of females within both directly-after and postponed-after teachingon the note card.There is no difference between the mean scores of the experimental group children within both directly-after and postponed-after teaching on the note card due to the use of role-playing method
