The study dealt with the Saudi role in Yemen and its impact on the security of the Arab Gulf states during the period of 2011-2020. The study aimed to discuss the determinants of Saudi policy toward Yemen in the light of the Yemeni movement 2011, in addition to knowing the impact of foreign interventions on the Yemeni crisis and the Arab Gulf security. The study relied on the historical approach, the descriptive-analytical approach, and the systems analysis approach, to trace the history of the emergence of Saudi-Yemeni relations and describe and analyze the divergent positions of the parties to the conflict inside Yemen. The study discussed the nature of the geopolitical relationship between Saudi Arabia and Yemen before the Yemeni movement in 2011 until 2020. The study inquired about determinants of Saudi foreign policy towards Yemen in light of the Yemeni movement, what extent foreign interventions affected the Yemeni crisis, what is the relationship of the Saudi role to the roles of other actors in the Yemeni crisis, especially Iran, whether Saudi Arabia achieved its goals of intervention in Yemen, and how all of the above reflected on the security of the Arab Gulf as a single regional bloc? Yemen enjoys an important strategic location, overlooking shipping lines for global trade, and any collapse of Yemen will lead to security breakthroughs in the Arab Gulf states in general and Saudi Arabia in particular, which will have its effects on international trade, and foreign interventions have led to the prolongation of the war, which helped to strengthen armed groups Within Yemen, which was a major instrument that reflected regional and international conflicts. The study analyzed the Saudi-Iranian competition in Yemen, and how this competition affected Yemen, considering that its crisis has become the worst humanitarian crisis in the modern era, and thus created a state of forgetfulness of the Yemeni issue in the international debate about ending the war, as well as the fluctuations of international politics, and the immaturity of regional variables to conclude. A settlement to address the various roles within Yemen and the Arab Gulf region, by extinguishing the engines of the regional competition in light of the control and hegemony over the Gulf region.
