الملخص

The study aims to search for how Mozabite university students consumethe university space, in relation of their cultural representations towardsgender, which is designed by the Mozabite community and how it is embodiedwithin the university space. We tried to address the theme within theframework of this question: Do students' cultural representations of genderaffect the consumption of gender in the university space?And We tried to answer this question by using the quantitative method inorder to test the hypotheses by verifying them through questionnaire, which aimsto quantify the phenomena in order to analyse the data statistically, the samplepopulation are Mozabite university students (males and females) and they includethe second and third levels of BA, the first and second levels of MA from variousSpecialties, and the sample number is 200 respondents. After the fieldinvestigation process, we reached the following results:The more cultural representations of the students tend towards thesanctification of gender, they work to embody it at the level of practices withinthe university space, and vice versa whenever they tend towards desecration, thisappears in their practices. And that some representations, despite their tendencytowards desecration, were not embodied in the practices of that in the presence ofother factors such as social control or other issues, but in a small percentagecompared to reproduction.Cultural representations of students towards gender, whether they tendtowards sanctification or desecration, have not been fully embodied within theuniversity space in the form of dealings, as there may be other variables that affecttheir dealings. We also find that negotiation is intensely present at the level oftheir representations and dealings.
