In this study, the researcher tackled the Turkish Foreign Policy(TFP) pertinent to the Palestinian Issue during the AKP rule from theyear 2002 to 2003. This period witnessed a drastic change in theTurkish republic after the TFP rule towards regional and internationalissues where the TFP has done tremendous effort to resume the role ofTurkey and its regional and international position after its ultimatedependency on the West and Israel. This has its clear impact on theTurkish policy towards the Palestinian issue. The researcher aimed atspecifying the determinants, premises and the milestones of the TFPunder the rule of the AKP towards the Palestinian Issue and studyingthe basics and foundations of this new Turkish foreign policy whichthe AKP depends on. He also aimed at investigating the impact of theTurkish relations with Israel, USA and European countries on theTurkish foreign policy towards the Palestinian issue. In this analyticaldescriptive study, the researcher depended on analyzing data thatenhanced the change of the Turkish foreign policy towards thePalestinian issue. In addition, he investigated historically the Turkishforeign policy towards the Palestinian issue in the last era. Finally, theresearcher has reached the following main conclusions: The advent ofthe AKP to the rule in Turkey represents a critical point in the Turkishpolicy and a big change in its presence and acceptance in the regionand in the whole world as it raises the expectations in the regional andinternational public opinion. In addition, It has established a kind ofrelative compatibility with the neighborhood and the world on manyforeign policy issues which all are characteristics that granted Turkeythe possibility of establishing and implementing active and influentialpolicies. Furthermore, The Palestinian Issue with all its intricate andbarbed nature is the best entrance of AKP Turkey to take a regionaland international place. Therefore, the Palestinian Issue is consideredthe entrance of AKP Turkey to the Islamic World. At the end of thestudy, the researcher recommended that the Palestinian politiciansbenefit from the Turkish foreign policy under the rule of the AKP. It isthrough this policy that Turkey occupies a distinctive regional rolethrough mediating between the disputing parties and exploits this roleand its acceptance by the international community in supporting thePalestinian cause. Finally, he recommended benefiting from the USAneeds to the Turkish role in the regional issues to put pressure on theUSA and Israel to lift the siege on Gaza, stop building settlements inthe West Bank and stop Judaizing Jerusalem.
