In fact, turning landscapes into natural tourist places has many positive changes. Landscapes are cultural structures influenced by economic dynamics, social interaction, and cultural activity. They are the primary component of every landscape and each has a distinct design, which makes them valuable in their own right. The aim of the research is to shed light on the processes of transforming the Hazarmerd Cave site into a natural tourist place through development and landscaping design that lead to the establishment of a tourist scene for Sulaymaniyah Governorate in particular and Iraq, in general, itis being an area rich in spaces and suitable for this transformation. This is when selecting sites, we applied criteria such as original diversity of use, size or attractiveness. The environmental, social, cultural, and economic impacts of tourism on the landscape of the sites have been valuable in terms of sustainable development principles. Therefore, the life cycle stage and the impacts of tourism on the environment were assessed. We also present the possibilities of further development and direction for localities from the point of view of tourism development and landscaping concerning the benefits associated with the planned development. A content analysis of the area was carried out by Google Maps and the means of engineering programs, automation, and survey engineering for the area is about ten square kilometers, according to the required and potential area for the study. Interviews were used, as well as the distribution of the questionnaire with stakeholders and specialists in this subject and resorting to the Municipal Council of Sulaymaniyah Governorate in order to identify the results about converting this area into natural tourist places through development and landscaping. This study reached results that providing the water element has an important role in Hazarmerd Park for recreational and aesthetic purposes and sometimes for irrigation. The attractions of the cave will be through enjoying the views of waterfalls, garden plants, flowers, etc., as well as the diversity of various events and activities that contribute to activating the role of the park and increasing the desire of community groups to attend it, and it will help in the tourism industry in landscapes and heritage sites, despite the protection of landscapes through these projects The research can also focus on the relationship between the experience of tourism in Hazarmerd and other similar areas, and it responds to the needs and requirements of people, not only in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, but in all governorates of the Kurdistan Region, and this project is in line with economic, social and environmental development. It was also found as a result that the Kurdistan region enjoys a stable security situation compared to the rest of Iraq, which is a catalyst to attract the attention of tourists from southern and central Iraq, especially the new emerging natural tourism for such an idea as well as includes a variety of landscapes including high hills at different levels and cultivated plains and valleys deep mountain ranges. Although it is considered one of the richest and indispensable sources of natural resources of economic importance such as edible crops and medicinal, aromatic and healthy plants. The new locals will have contact with many other different cultures and will gain more knowledge and be more aware of preserving the natural biodiversity.
