ترجمة الملخص

This study aimed at investigating the prevalence of academic procrastination and it's cause from the point of view of the undergraduate students, and whether these differed according to students’ gender, academic level, or specialization. The sample consisted of (496) undergraduate students (225 male, 271 female), from all faculties of Tishreen University. The results showed that (14.5%)of participants exhibitede a high level of procrastination, (65.5%)of participants exhibited an average level, and (20%)of them exhibited a low level. Significant differences were found due to gender; procrastination level among male was higher than female students’. The result also showed that the causes are order in this: aversive task, fear of failure, instructor style, risk taking, classmate pressure, and resisting discipline control. The results also revealed that Significant differences were found due to academic level, procrastination level were higher among first year than fourth year, due to resisting discipline and aversive task. But the level of fear of failure was higher among first year than third year. Finally, significant differences were found in the field of fear of failure dueto faculty, procrastination level between Humanitarian faculties was higher than medical faculties
