This research aims to identify the relationship between Strategies of dealing with psychological stresses and the Methods of parental treatment for Adolescents among Adolescents in schools of Damascus for the year of (2012 \2013).The total number of the members of the research sample was (635) male and female students , divided into (262) male students and (372) female students in secondary schools in Damascus. The researcher used the Descriptive analytical method in her research in concluding the result of this research depending on the following tools:Sources of the psychological stresses' scale which was prepared by the researcher.Strategies of dealing with the psychological stresses among adolescents which was prepared by the researcher.Methods of parental treatment which was prepared by Khaled Al-Tahan and Dindi did the psychometric study for this test in 2009 , and the researcher by herself redid another psychometric study for the same test in 2013 because of the changes that occurred in the structure of the Syrian Families in the Syrian society in current situation. And this research tried to answer the following questions:1)What are the sources of psychological stresses among the adolescents whom are members of the research sample?2)What are the strategies of dealing with the psychological stresses among the adolescents whom are members of the research sample?3)What are the methods of parental treatment for Adolescents among the families whom are Members of the research sample? The research aimed to check the following hypotheses:1)There is no statistically significant relationship between the strategies to deal with the stresses and sources of psychological stresses among the adolescents of the research sample.2)There are no statistically significant differences between the average degrees of members of the research sample on sources of psychological stresses' scale according to the variable of sex(male-female).3)There are no statistically significant differences between the average degrees of members of the research sample on sources of the psychological stresses' scale according to the variable of the Academic specialization (literary-scientific).4)There are no statistically significant differences between the average degrees of members of the research sample on sources of the psychological stresses’ scale according to the variable of the specialization (years of study).-5)There is no statistically significant relationship between the average degrees of members of the research sample on dealing with psychological stresses' scale according to the variable of sex (males -females).6)There are no statistically significant differences between the average degrees of members of the research sample on methods of parental treatment's scale according to the variable of the Academic specialization (literary-scientific).7)There are no statistically significant differences between the average degrees of members of the research sample on methods of parental treatment's test according to the variable of the specialization (years of study).The research concluded the following results:1)The common psychological stresses among adolescents are family stresses.2)The most common strategy among adolescents of dealing with the psychological stresses was planning strategy.3)Protection and neglecting are the most common method of parental treatment among the families from the point of view of the members of the research study.4)There is a positive correlation which is statistically significant between strategies of dealing with the psychological stresses and the sources of psychological stresses the among the members of the research sample.5)There is a positive correlation which is statistically significant between strategies of dealing with the psychological stresses and the methods of parental treatment among the members of the research sample.6)There are statistically significant differences between the average degrees of members of the research sample on strategies of dealing with the psychological stresses' scale according to the variable of the sex (males -females). 7)There are statistically significant differences between the average degrees of members of the research sample on strategies of dealing with the psychological stresses' scale according to the variable of academic specialization (literary -scientific) in the strategy of social support and the strategy of positive thinking in the favor of scientific specialization.8)There are statistically significant differences between the average degrees of members of the research sample on strategies of dealing with the psychological stresses' scale according to the variable of years of study.9)There are statistically significant differences between the average degrees of members of the research sample on methods of parental treatment's scale in the (protection -neglecting)method in the favor of males. There are statistically significant differences between the average degrees of members of the research sample on methods of parental treatment's test according to the variable of academic specialization (literary -scientific) in the method of (independence -restriction) in the favor of literary specialization.11)There are statistically significant differences between the average degrees of members of the research sample on Methods of parental treatment's scale according to the variable of years of study.
