الملخص

It is meant by this research to study & find the most economically feasible &valuable ways for the different engineering projects and application of thesemethods to the thermal power plants in Sudan.In this report, the situation of electricity in Sudan is fully illustrated, as anintroduction to the report, including sources of electrical energy in Sudan,role of electricity in the Sudanese economy, existing and future electricpower generation, by giving some data & methodologies used in the LongTerm Power Plan executed by ECOURS, the Canadian Consultant Companyin 2001.The report discussed the theory & methodology of a general feasibility studyof engineering projects, as prepared and suggested by the United NationIndustrial Development Organization (UNIDO), for the different countriesand for different applications.In this report an application of the feasibility theorems & methodologies forthe field of building Thermal Power Plants in Sudan is discussed and a casestudy of using the UNIDO computer program, COMFFAR III and NECmodule are executed for Al Gaili thermal (Combined Cycle) Power Plant. Asignificant results ware obtained and comments on the results withrecommendations for using such modules ware stated.
