Research Topic: Difficulties of Learning Arabic Language by Foreign Students in Egypt –A Field Study. This research is aimed at investigating the reasons for the difficulties of learning Arabic language and its factors affecting the method of learning the fundamental skills such as reading, writing and conversation that affect the methods of acquiring higher level of proficiency such as drafting, memory development and reasoning. The research also aims at identifying the most crucial problems of bilingualism of those having learning difficulties, and then the attempt to prepare a modern academic curriculum to ameliorate those problems. The significance of this study is summed up to guide the Ministry of Education on innovating an Arabic language curriculum and its teaching methodologies for the benefit of both the teacher and student.The terminology “Learning Difficulties” has passed through four stages: the first is characterized by setting the foundation having medical nature; the second is the progression from the medical illustration to academic research, while the third is a complementary innovation, only that it is limited to childhood stage, and in the fourth, the research effort advanced to an academic principle for resolving learning difficulties at all age levels. The researcher exploited interviewing a number of students with a major question: “What are the difficulties of learning Arabic language being faced by the non-Arabic speaking students?” Afterwards, questionnaire was distributed in form of the original study to (400) foreign students comprising (200) Asian students and (200) African students. The period of study was from year 2000 to year 2015, and the results that the study arrived at will be of utmost interest to the Ministry of Education firstly, secondly, the guardians, and thirdly, Arabic language teachers. The study confirms the negative effect upon the bilingual having learning difficulties of language acquisition, and for this reason, attention should be focused on teaching oral and written expression at all levels of learning, and it should be given substantial position among the branches of Arabic languagein the Schools and Universities .
