The current study aimed to identify The effect of the Hanven Bik model on cognitive achievement and learning of the skills of receiving from below and high preparation in volleyball for students, and to identify the superiority of the effect between the two groups (experimental and control) in learning some basic volleyball skills for second-year students. The researcher used the experimental method to suit the research sample and achieve the study objectives, by designing two equivalent groups: control and experimental, with pre- and post-tests. The study population included second-year morning study students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences – University of Karbala, for the academic year (2024-2025), numbering (190) students divided into eight study sections: (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H). Two sections were selected by simple random drawing to represent the main research sample: (A, B). Section (A) represented the experimental group, and Section (B) represented the control group, with (15) students for each group. The main sample percentage was ( 15.78% of the original community, and the SPSS program was used to process the data obtained in this study. One of the most important conclusions reached by the study is that the use of the Hanfen-Beck model had a positive impact on cognitive achievement and the learning of some basic skills (setting from above – receiving the serve) for students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, second stage, in volleyball for the experimental group. The results also showed that the research sample, represented by students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, had a high level of cognitive achievement, especially the experimental group, compared to the control group. The results also showed differences in the studied research variables, represented by cognitive achievement and the skills of settingfrom above and receiving the serve in volleyball, for the research sample and for the experimental and control research groups in the post-tests, in favor of the experimental group. One of the most important recommendations of this study is to emphasize the use of the Hanfen-Beck model in cognitive achievement and learning basic skills in volleyball, as well as the necessity of introducing various complex exercises in practical lessons to teach and improve basic skills in volleyball. The study also recommended conducting similar studies that include the same variables, but on larger samples. And for other study stages for the purpose of conducting comparative studies.
