mohamedRésuméDans le but de contribuer à une meilleure connaissance des zones steppiques de la wilayade Saida, pour une plus grande prise de conscience de la complexité du développement ruralet de l’état actuel de dégradation qu’a connu cette région fragile ces dernières décennies, nousavons jugé à la fois opportun et utile de réaliser cette étude.L’objectif principal est la détermination de la productivité actuelle des parcours steppiquesde la commune de Maâmora. Pour atteindre cet objectif, nous avons calculé la biomasseaérienne dans les formations dominées par Stipa tenacissima et l’Artemisia herb-alba de larégion. Le calcul de la biomasse a été basé sur la méthode du transect et des relevésphytoécologiques sur 100 m dans le sens de la plus grande variabilité de la végétation.Les résultats obtenus montrent que la biomasse aérienne varie de251.1et 1768.1 KgMs/ha/. Cela signifie qu’il y a une grande hétérogénéité dans la répartition spatiale du couvertvégétal et le milieu est en état de dégradation avancé. Cette dégradation est due à un ensemblede facteurs anthropiques et climatiques.Devant le diagnostic alarmant de la situation des zones steppiques de la wilaya de Saida,une politique de développement intégrée s’imposait et elle axée sur des programmesd’intervention visant la restauration et la réhabilitation des parcours steppiques de cetterégion.Mots clés : biomasse aérienne, Stipa tenacissima et l’Artemisia herb-alba, Maâmora, Saida.AbstractIn order to contribute to a better understanding of the steppe areas of the wilaya of Saida, forgreater awareness of the complexity of rural development and the current state of degradationexperienced by these fragile regions in recent decades, we considered both timely and usefulto conduct this study.The main objective is to determine the current productivity of steppe rangelands of themunicipality of Maàmora . To achieve this goal, we calculated the aboveground biomass inthe formations dominated by Stipa tenacissima, Artemisia herba alba in the region. Thecalculation of the biomass was based on the method of transect surveys phytoecological and100 m in the direction of the greater variability of vegetation.The results obtained show that the aboveground biomass ranges from 251et 1768.1 kg/ DM /ha. This means that there is a great heterogeneity in the spatial distribution of vegetation andthe environment is in a state of advanced deterioration. This degradation is due to acombination of anthropogenic and climatic factors.At the alarming diagnosis of the situation of the steppe areas of the wilaya of Saida, anintegrated development policy was necessary and based intervention programs for therestoration and rehabilitation of steppe rangelands in this regionKeywords: productivity, aboveground biomass Stipa tenacissima, Artemisia herba alba ofMaàmora.
