This thesis treat the behavior of the motion of the plate as it was initially at rest andthen suddenly moved at t=0 with a smooth function V(t) . Thisow is known as stokes rst problem, which has the initial and only pulled side .Theuids considered here are theNewtonian and second gradeuids. The equation of velocity of thisow problem for theseuids are obtained and their exact solution are established using the methods of laplace ,Fourier sine and similarity transforms. However the last one fails to solve thisow problemfor second gradeuid. This thesis display precedent results as simple way.
