الملخص

فقر الدم هو واحد من قضايا الصحة العامة الأكثرانتشارا في العالم ، وانتشاره هوأعلى في البلدان ذات الدخل المنخفض والمتوسط من العالم , وخاصةفي النساء الحوامل والنساء في مرحلة الإنجاب . كانت هذه الدراسة, دراسة وصفية مقطعية ، أجريت خلال الفترةمن يوليو 2015 - أكتوبر 2015،وهدفت الدراسة إلى تقييم حالة الهيموجلوبين والوعي الغذائي لدى النساء الحوامل في مدينة عطبرة. تم اشراك 120 امرأةحامل في هذه الدراسة، من كل امرأة تمجمع 2مللتر من الدم ،تمجمع البيانات باستخدام الاستبيان. وأظهرت النتائج الرئيسية ؛تراوح تركيزالهيموجلوبين بين الخاضعين للدراسة بين 6.5 -13 غ / دل, وأن معدل انتشار فقرالدم بين النساءالحوامل في هذه الدراسة 73.3٪،وحالات فقرالدم كانت 32.5٪ من النوع الخفيف،٪ 39.2 من حالات فقرالدم المعتدل 1.7٪ فقرالدم الشديد. وكانت معظم حالات فقرالدم المرتبطة بالحمل في الثلث الثاني (39.2٪) والثلث الثالث (38.3٪) منالحمل. كما كان من الواضح أن فقرالدم كان مرتبطا بشكل كبيرمع الوضع الاجتماعي والاقتصادي وسط حالات الدراسة. وخلصت الدراسة إلى أن معدل انتشار فقر الدم المرتبط بالحمل كان أعلى بكثير في الثلث الثاني والأخيرمن الحمل ، وعند ذوات الوضع الاجتماعي والاقتصادي المنخفض وعند ذوات مستوى التعليم المنخفض.

Anemia is one of the most widespread public health issues in the world, its prevalence is highest in low/ middle income countries of the world especially in pregnant women and females in their reproductive stage. The study was descriptive cross sectional study, conducted during the period from July 2015 – October 2015, aimed to assess the hemoglobin status and nutritional awareness in pregnant women in Atbara city. 120 pregnant women were enrolled in this study,from each woman, 2 mL of venous blood was collected for measuring the hemoglobin concentration, the data were collected using questionnaire. The main result showed that; hemoglobin concentration among study subjects was ranged between 6.5 -13 g/dl, the prevalence rate for anemia amongst pregnant women in the present study was 73.3%,the anemic cases 32.5% were of the mild type, 39.2% cases of moderate anemia 1.7% severe anemia.The majority of pregnancy related anemia cases were recorded in second (39.2%) and third (38.3%) trimesters of pregnancy.There was evident that anemia was significantly associated with socio-economic status of the study subjects. The study concluded that the prevalence of pregnancy-related anemia was significantly higher in last two trimesters of pregnancy, and those with low socioeconomic status and low education levels.
