ترجمة الملخص

This study aims at detecting the degree of teachers’ understanding of the concept of reflective thinking and the degree of practicing it according to gender, educational experience and the educational qualification. The study sample consists of 343 teachers: 156 males and 187 females, during the second semester of 2012/2013. The information was gathered through a questionnaire that was developed and verified by researchers who approved it’s eligibility and reliability. The results showed that the degree of teachers’ understanding of reflective thinking was “Medium”, with a mean of (3.50), as well as their practicing of it which was “Medium”, too, with a mean of (3.56). Furthermore, the results showed that there are no statistically significant differences that relate to the degree of teachers’ understanding of the concept of reflective thinking and the degree of their practicing of it due to gender, educational qualification and educational experience at a level of (0.05 = α). The study recommends to: Increase the interest in reflective thinking, as well as to increase practicing this concept broadly in all fields and to develop the skills of the teachers’ reflective thinking continuously.
