ترجمة الملخص

Aim of study:The objective of this study was to evaluate sinus flooraugmentation with simultaneous implant placement using platelet-rich fibrin as a sole filling material.Materials and Methods:This study included 20 patients who underwent sinus floor augmentation with simultaneous implant placement between 2016 and 2017 at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacila Surgery, Tishreen University. In 10 patients we used the gelfome as a sole filling material after sinus lift as a control group and in other 10 patients we used the platelet-rich fibrin as a sole filling material as a study group.For each patient presurgical and postsurgical (8-10 days after surgery and after 3 and 6 months) radiography were performed to assess bone gain at implant sites. The density of the newly formed bone and bone height from the sinus floor to the alveolar crest where implants were inserted were measured using Digora program.Results:The residual bone height rangedbetween 3.9 and 6.8 mm (mean ± SD: 5.40 ± 0.97 mm) in study group and between 4.1 and 6.9mm (mean ± SD: 5.46 ± 0.90mm) in control groupAfter 3 months there was significance difference in bone gain between the two groups and higher in PRF group ( 5.53 ± 1.10mm in study group and 3.07 ± 1.54mm in control group) .But there was no significance difference in total bone gain after6 months between the two groups (6.55 ± 1.36 mm) in study group and (6.05 ± 1.13 mm) in control group.Regarding bone density measured by Digora software it was always higher in PRF group with significance difference.All implants in two groups were clinically stable after 6 months and loaded successfully.Conclusion:Both of materials could considered appropriate for filling the sinus after schenderiane membrane elevation when implants are inserted in the same procedure. However we foundthat PRF is better since the bone formation was faster and the density of the newly formed bone was higher in PRF group.
