(+CD)endc.description.abstractOur research purposes to cast light on the quality of Pinterest’s Arabic-Englishquotations’ translations, as well as the applicability of CHESTERMAN’s strategies ontranslating quotations. For that, we advanced three (03) hypotheses: Arabic-English Pinterestquotations may be well translated; mechanical errors are likely to be more frequent thanstrategic ones; CHESTERMAN’s strategies might be suitable to translate quotations. Toeither confirm or infirm these hypotheses, we have assessed the selected quotations, followingCHESTERMAN’s retrospective and prospective assessment models and ATA’s errorclassification to extract linguistic errors.
